Gameplay of Both the Games

Gameplay of Rummy

Each player has 13 cards and players have to arrange their cards in such a way that it can make something like a valid declaration. The remaining cards are placed at the center and are known as open and closed piles. These different combinations can make sequences or sequences and sets. A sequence is a group of 3 or 4 sequential cards of the same suit. There are 2 types of sequences - proper and improper sequences. A joker is also used as a missing card of the sequence.

When the game starts(played in a clockwise direction), each player draws a card from the open and closed piles according to their need and discards a card that is not useful for them at the open pile. Players got a chance one by one to take and discard the cards. The one who can make all valid sequences first wins the game. The player who wins gets 0 points and other players get plenty according to their invalid declaration.

Gameplay of Bridge

Each player has 13 cards and one player makes a call, calls made by any player are passed consecutively three times, and then the bidding is closed. The player who declares the bid is called a “declarer” the declarer’s partner is known as a “dummy” and the Opponent players are called “defenders” and the last played bid in the auction becomes the contract of the game.

After playing the first trick dummy’s cards are shown to other players. The dummy player arranges the cards in such a way and keeps them in such a way that cards are easily visible to the declarer. The dummy role is to arrange the cards for the declarer only. The trump suit is placed on the dummy’s right. Only Declarer instructs the dummy to play the card if it is legal in the game. The dummy is not allowed to give his opinion on the move played by the declarer. When a dummy wins the trick, the declarer tells him/her about the next card to play. The dummy can only play the lowest card, in order to make the call.

The game is played in a clockwise direction. Other players should also play a card from the same suit played by the leader, if possible. A player can play any other card if he/she doesn't have a leading suit. The cards in each trick are collected and kept separately. Players are allowed to see the cards and ask who played which card only after that trick is finished. A trick consists of four cards and is won by the highest card. If in four cards there is a trump then that trick is won by that player who played that trump. The winner of the trick is only allowed to play the next turn.
