My friend Kan told me that it is hard to pass the 70-291 exam! The questions he met maybe you need to solve. Note the following:

I've been studying like crazy for 70-291, and have taken a lot of practice questions on IT certification(http://www.buyitexam.com) found from this site. I've found most of the questions long, but straight-forward enough to get a majority of them correct. My question is, what should I look out for on the exam? Any topics other than DNS, DHCP, RRAS, Dial and Demand Routing, and security that I should look out for?

What makes this exam so much harder than the other Microsoft exams?

Lilbal who pass 70-291 Exam(http://www.mcsa-70-291.com) shared his experience. Note folllowing:

I just took this exam 2 days ago, passing with a score of 840. (first attempt)

Specifies whether to perform a statistics comparison or a full-content comparison. Valid option values are TRUE (perform a statistical comparison) or FALSE (perform a full-content comparison). The statistical comparison merely counts the objects. It does not compare the attributes of the objects that have been retrieved ...
... from the domain controllers and it ignores the /gcultrs option. A full-content comparison retrieves eveiy object with attribute values and performs a comparison of the attributes of the same object from different domain controllers.

Determines whether the search operations are performed with sorting based on objectGUID. Valid option values are TRUE (perform sorted queries) or FALSE (do not perform sorted queries). Performing a sorted query by setting this option to TRUE has a negative impact on performance; however, it complements the full-content comparison because it ensures that objects are returned in nearly the same order from different servers and improves the performance of full-content comparison.

Sets page size for the LDAP search operation, indicating the number of entries to be returned per page. The valid range for pagesize is from 1 to 999. The default value is 64.

Specifies the extent of the scope for the search operation. Valid option values are: BASE, ONELEVEL, or SUB-TREE. The default option is SUBTREE.

Sets the distinguished name of the base search path, allowing Dsastat to perform the comparison against any subtree of the directory.

For the most part the exam went well. There was an IP addressing question that involved figuring out the correct subnet for a certain amount of computers on the network.

Though what I have always had the hardest time on is trying to remember what monitoring tool you should use for what and when...such as dnscmd, netsh, netcap, replmon, nslookup, network monitor, performance monitor, ect... make sure you're confident in what is used to do what and what type of information can be found using each.

I had 3 simulation questions, one involving making groups in active directory, another for making and editing MX entries in DNS, and another for configuring interfaces in routing and remote access.

Then there were a bunch of free Microsoft exam questions(http://www.examshots.com/vendor/Microsoft-1.html), which included DNS questions and security questions, none of which really caught me off guard. Pretty straight forward there.

Each book in the Training Guide series is published under the direction of Series Editor Ed Tittel, the leading authority on IT certification. This book has been subjected to rigorous technical review by a team of industry experts, ensuring content is superior in both coverage and technical accuracy, and has earned the distinction of Cramsession?
