Pilates, as taught today worldwide, is based on the traditional principles of Joseph Pilates but has been progressively enriched by current biomechanical knowledge and cutting-edge research on fascial structures. From the very beginning, the founder of this discipline had a single goal: to make the human body "elastic," which, by definition, is the opposite of "rigid."
