HISTORY OF PASSPORT
The history of the passport is an interesting journey from simple letters of safe conduct to the high-tech documents in today's lifestyle. The idea of a passport dates back to ancient times. One of the earliest histories found in the Bible, where a Persian king gave a letter to ensure safe passage through different regions around 450 BC. This letter acted like an early passport. The 19th century travel documents were increased due to international travel and improved transportation like trains and steamships. This period marked the ...

These have a microchip that stores personal information, a digital photo, and sometimes fingerprints and iris scans. In today’s time passports are essential for international travel, which defines a person's identity and citizenship. They are also important for national security and international relations. Future passports might even become digital, stored on smartphones and may be protected by the advanced technology.
