Whenever we speak of a chopper, we immediately think of a Harley Davidson. The brand has become synonymous with the word chopper. How about “Bobber Chopper?” The moment you say this, you will be met with a questionsing glance. And very rightly so. A bobber and a chopper are two different things. Do not make the mistake of considering them to be the same thing. Although both have a lot of simmilarity there are still some significant differences. Both these are no stock motorcycles which means that they are no longer standard. They have changed a lot on multiple levels by the owner.

Chopper Motorcycles:

This is a modified motorcycle. Often referred to as a refurbished motorcycle, this one is no longer original. The wheelbase is fifferent. The frame has been adjusted to ensure that the distance between the wheels are more. The length of the chopper is longer than the original motorcycle.
The angle of the steering wheel is also changed. In short, all unnecessary parts of the motorcycle are removed and many customised parts are added to the motorcycle. You will find customised ...
... fenders, oil tank, exhausts and so on. You will find that the body paint is also changed. The final colour is very different from the original product. After the motorcycle is refurbished, it hardly looks like the factory manufactured bike. Only the engine, transmission and the primary are intact. They are not replaced or modified

Bobbers

In case of the bobber, the motorcycle is stripped of all extra parts. They don’t even have the front fender. Instead you will find a short rear fender. The large wheelbase or front fork are also removed. Just like the chopper has all its superfluous parts removed, the bobber too has all the extra parts removed. This is done to make the motorcycle lighter in weight, which in turn increases the speed. The bobber came into prominnence during the World War II when they started to compete with the choppers of the US army. The bobbers were easy on the pocket and even easier to obtain and hence they were completely refurbished to suit the need of the hour. Unlike the chopper, the bobber does not have a modified frame.

This mostly happens with first time buyers who are not that well-versed with motorcycles. They want to join the bandwagon and flaunt a stylish bike. However, it is essential to know the difference because you can then take an informed decision regarding which one to buy. Moreover, when purchasing a chopper or a bobber you need to take into account your budget as well. If you are interested in Bobbers then look for Bobbers for sale Brisbane.”
