The Middle East is a melting pot of ethnicities and religions, dating back centuries. However, the life for minorities is anything but easy. From government persecution to ethnic cleansing, genocide, and daily discrimination, the lives of the region's minorities are constantly challenged. But how do Palestinians come into play here?

Well, if one is active on the internet, then you have probably seen tweets of Zionists bringing up said suffering of minorities whenever anything about Palestine and Palestinians is mentioned. May it be the expulsion of the Arab Jews from their respective home countries or the genocide of the Yezidi's; it is as if they use these atrocities to blame and excuse the suffering of Palestinian. Because how dare the Palestinian demand freedom and justice, to demand any kind of human rights, when other Arab country has expelled its Jews? How dare the Palestinian complain about the colonization and the suffering he faces, when the Yezidi suffer through Genocide by ISIS? The non-Palestinian Christian discrimination by Muslims and the Iranian woman persecution due to her gender?

... and awareness around Middle Eastern minorities are manipulated by Zionists, and unfortunately, some minorities buy into this rhetoric. The hypocrisy of Arabs and Muslims supporting Palestinians while refusing to acknowledge the plight of other minorities in the Middle East, often caused by themselves, does not go unnoticed. This hypocrisy leads some people to turn to Zionism, believing it will free them from discrimination and make the Middle East more peaceful and safer. They ignore Israel’s participation in their persecution and continuous wars in the region through arms deals with Turkey, Azerbaijan, or the UAE. They overlook Israel’s role in the largest and longest refugee crisis and its equal disdain for non-Palestinian Arabs, Christians, and Druze. Israel’s sexism, homophobia, and religious fanaticism are blatantly ignored. In the eyes of these individuals, Israel's victory would bring prosperity to the Middle East, even if it involves resource theft, land destruction, or aiding US military destabilization and exploitation. To them, Israel’s existence is salvation and an Arab and Muslim-free future, and the Palestinians are merely an obstacle to this vision.

It seems as if due to most Palestinians being Arab and Muslim, they must answer to all crimes committed by any other Arab or Muslim. If the Muslims in Egypt attack Copts, the Palestinian must answer for it. If someone mentions that all universities in Gaza have been destroyed and looks at the Student Intifada across the world in a less denouncing way, then the Iranian Yezidi Düzen Tekkal will condemn this; its victim perpetrator repentance to even mention them instead. Because why are you not focusing all your criticism onto Hamas and the Islamic regime, how can you blame the victim that is the Israeli state? And if the Islamic Regime does anything against its population, the Palestinian will be held accountable by specific kind of Iranian monarchist's diaspora. The Palestinian pain gets excused and even defended and supported, because, supposedly, they deserve it.

Since, well- if you did not want to suffer, why does the Islamic Regime exist and support you? It is on you, the Palestinian, who is facing genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, military occupation. It is on you, the Palestinian, for all suffering caused by any Muslim or Arab. Because how dare the Palestinian dare to talk of his oppression, if somewhere in Iraq a Yezidi is faced with genocide and persecution by Muslims? It is what the Palestinian deserves.

This excuse for Palestinian suffering due to the actions of Muslims and Arabs perpetuates genocide enabling. Palestinian suffering becomes a stand-in for anyone who has experienced injustice by a Muslim or Arab. It becomes an interchangeable synonym, ignoring the differences between Arab nations and radical Islamist organizations or radical Muslims and racist Arabs. Since their oppressors are far from facing consequences, some turn to support the genocide and oppression of Palestinians. “Since all Muslims and Arabs are the same, aren’t they? So, if they suffer, that means my oppressor is suffering” seems to be the common thinking in those groups.

The Palestinian becomes the scapegoat, the sacrificial lamb for the crimes of any Arab or Muslim. He is the accepted sacrifice of the oppressed, Jesus crucified for the sins of the sinners, even if he himself never committed any of the sins himself.
