What is Selective Laser Sintering?

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is an industrial 3D printing process ideal for manufacturing end-use parts. In SLS, a laser selectively sinters polymer powder particles, fusing them and building a part layer-by-layer. SLS produces functional plastic parts with isotropic mechanical properties that can be used for detailed prototyping or end-use low-volume production.

Selective laser sintering (SLS) is a high-tech way to make things using a special 3D printing method. It's used in industries to create prototypes and actual parts quickly, sometimes even in just one day. They use different kinds of nylon materials that make the final parts super strong.

Here's how it works: First, a thin layer of plastic powder is spread out. Then, a powerful laser melts specific parts of this powder layer. This process is repeated layer by layer until the whole thing is done.
