The Canary Islands are a prime holiday destination on national and international levels thanks to their a great deal of virtues, such like unbeatable landscapes, fine-looking beaches and privileged climate. Nevertheless this summer the Tourism Council of Fuerteventura's Cabildo as initiated a tourism promotional crusade targeted at the islands' habitants. Its goal to be attained is to boost inter-island tourism and to get Canarians to spend the summer in the Canary Islands.

The crusade consists of two discerned elements. On one side, a original percentage which is generic and mutual to all seven islands which was filmed in various areas throughout the archipelago to get habitants of those privileged islands to stay and take delight in the summer in their autonomous community. On the other hand, a second percentage created for each island on an individual basis to advertise trips and visits on each Canary Island.

As for Fuerteventura, the crusade, promoted by the Cabildo's Tourism Council in collaboration with the Canarian Government, is mainly grounded on beaches.

... in newsprints, on television and on the web, represent various situations in three discerned locatings: Sotavento beach, Corralejo's dunes and the fishing harbour of El Cotillo.

The Tourism Councillor of Fuerteventura's Cabildo, Águeda Montelongo, is rather satisfied with this initiative, because tourism within the islands themselves is very interesting as the average everyday spending is high and it tends to consist of short breaks, which means that it's a different type of tourism to the traditionalistic one and consists of a perfective complement.
