Rainbow Robotics Reveals Rb-y1: Korea's Bimanual Mobile Manipulator

Rainbow Robotics, the company specializing in robot platforms, has unveiled the detailed specifications of RB-Y1, the first bimanual mobile manipulator developed in Korea. Performance videos showcasing its capabilities have been uploaded to the Rainbow Robotics YouTube channel.

RB-Y1 combines a humanoid-type double-arm robot mounted on a wheel-type high-speed mobile base, allowing it to operate in diverse environments. With 7 degrees of freedom in each arm and a single leg with 6-axis degree of freedom for body movement, it can perform various complex tasks naturally. Notably, it can vertically move over 50 cm, enabling tasks at different heights.

Operating at a speed of 2.5m/s, RB-Y1 offers high-speed turning and sudden acceleration through 20-axis full-body control. The single leg with 6 degrees of freedom ensures safe control of the center of gravity while in motion.
