For Physics Teachers As A Basis
Dear colleagues, ex... I'm retired. I had finished with the specific lessons and devoted myself to school development. But as luck would have it, it threw me back into my favorite subject at school. Long story. But now I'm here and I'm having a lot of fun with our subject again. Yes, I loved it and invented many of my experimental setups...mostly freehand. I cast class 11 entirely in wood. All tests were built that covered class 11 at the time. It was like a defiant reaction to the ideas that were emerging at the time, using the first computers at school to reprogram horizontal throws, for example. I still remember how my head spun the first time I saw a small white dot flying on a black screen and an enthusiastic colleague sitting next to it. And I just thought it was terrible. Because Galileo and Newton approached their descriptions of nature differently. Later I even gave training courses on “phenomena” for the regional council for a year with my KlackKlack train. I sawed and assembled acceleration tracks with colleagues. Yes, I have always loved these simple experiments that you can show your grandchildren as a grandpa ...
... if they want. To convey to them the power of simplicity that is so stunning in the field of classical physics.
With these booklets, I would like to pass on the coincidence to physics colleges. All magazines are cc by Ottokraz (my educational artist name - long story) intended for pushing. Intended for colleagues who are wondering how to meet the demands of the future at school. Our announcement at the University of Agile Education in Zurich (where I ended up after my retirement) is development orientation. To give learners their education as often as possible. Learn to take a step back as a teacher.
Therefore, my request to you as an active physics teacher: give it a try. Copy a few pages that fit your lesson and give them to a team of high-performing students. And enjoy it when they end up back in the class as assistant teachers for the next chapter.
