Description - SS 316 is the austenitic nickel and chromium-based alloy including molybdenum and it thus enhances resistance to pitting, general corrosion and gives greater strength at elevated temperatures. Corrosion resistance is well improvised against acetic, sulfuric, acetic, formic and tartaric acid. SS 316L is the low carbon nickel and chromium-based austenitic alloy that is having corrosion resistance ability with IGC resistance followed by good welding ability. SS 316Ti alloy is the titanium-based nickel and chromium-based alloy that is including molybdenum alloy. It thus increases resistance to corrosion, pitting ion chloride solutions and also it can be used at high-temperature applications.
