Trust Bank And Thales Launch Singapore’s First Ocean Plastic® Card

Trust Bank, the pioneering digital bank in Singapore, celebrated its first anniversary with more than 600,000 customers, distinguishing itself as one of the digital banks with the fastest growth rate in the world. In an effort to appeal to consumers who are concerned about the environment, Trust has partnered with Thales to launch Singapore's first Ocean Plastic® payment card. This card is made up of recycled plastic from Parley for the Oceans and contains seventy percent recycled plastic.
Ocean Plastic® cards are manufactured by Thales, a global leader in technology, using PET recovered from coastal areas. The company's DIS Manufacturing Competence Centre in Singapore is equipped with cutting-edge equipment, and it maintains green standards that are certified by ISO 14001 and 50001. These efforts, which match with Trust's commitment to sustainability, will reduce the environmental effect of the cards throughout their entire lifecycle, from the time they are produced until they are discarded.
Hasan Khan, who is the Head of Credit Card and Lending at Trust Bank, emphasizes the significance of their relationship ...
... in the creation of Singapore's first Ocean Plastic® payment card. This card is in line with Trust's philosophy of 'Build to Sustain.' According to Nassir GHROUS, Vice President of Thales, the significance of the collaboration is acknowledged. The collaboration offers consumers streamlined payment solutions while also making a contribution to the conservation of oceans.
The dedication of Thales goes beyond technological breakthroughs and encompasses contactless banking and cybersecurity. This aligns with Trust's objective to provide solutions that are both innovative and environmentally sustainable. As a result of the relationship, a shared ambition to pioneer environmentally responsible banking practices and cleaner oceans has been realized.
