When preschool begins, there is obviously the expected anxiety on the first day of school, whether it is nursery or a combination daycare. This is a three-year-old who will begin going away from home, albeit for only a few hours per day - to strangers in an unfamiliar environment. This can be unsettling for any child, and seeing a child become restless can be unsettling for the parents as well.

So, how can you make the first day of preschool enjoyable with the help of assistive technology for preschoolers? Here are some helpful hints for parents.

Visit the school a few times. Even if you can't enter, familiarizing yourself with the campus and the building is fine. It is not then a completely unfamiliar environment.

Make sure you understand the pick-up and drop-off procedure. Read through the school's instructions carefully.

Discuss how much fun the child would have at school, the activities, the routine, the games, new friends, and so on. You can even do this when shopping for school supplies.

Beforehand, try on the school uniform and take some pictures.

... supplies and involve your child in this activity. This is where books, stationery, and other items would be stored.

You can also discuss any special activities planned by the school for the first day of school with the child.

Make a plan for a fun activity to do after the first day of school.
All of these factors contribute to the reduction of unfamiliarity. Making plans for what to do after school helps the child see the first day of school as just another 'regular' event. Ensure that the child slept well the night before and that he or she does not wake up late and rush through the morning routine. Take a lot of pictures and videos of your child (and yourself!) because this will never happen again! Take advantage of it to the fullest. Your child is maturing, and this is the first step in a long journey.

It is acceptable for the children to cry a little. They come to a quick stop and have a great time. Remember, you most likely cried on your first day as well. You were fine, and they will be as well.
Set up a Good Routine for your Preschooler!

A happy preschooler is a well-rested preschooler. The most important factor is a regular and consistent bedtime routine. A child who gets enough sleep is less likely to become ill and has a more pleasant temperament during the day. A sleep-deprived child may have difficulty paying attention and may be cranky and irritable.

So, how can you ensure that your preschooler gets enough rest? Here are some helpful hints for parents.

Kindergarten students range in age from 3 to 5 years. They require 10 to 13 hours of sleep per night (this includes naps). So, if the child has to get up at 7 a.m. to get ready for school, the child can stay up until 9 p.m. to get 10 hours of sleep. In this case, they should go to bed around 8 p.m.

Keep in mind that you cannot begin your bedtime routine at 8 p.m. The kids must have finished their dinner and settled down. Then they must use the restroom, brush their teeth, change into their bedtime clothes, lie down, and have some quiet time, such as having a story read to them. Most children will not fall asleep right away and will require about a half-hour after lying down. As a result, the bedtime routine would need to begin an hour before the actual bedtime.

Based on these times, you should work backwards to determine the child's dinner and playtime with the help of preschool interactive activities. It is critical for children to get enough exercise during the day in order to sleep well. You might also try to stick to a more or less similar schedule on weekends so that the child's routine is not difficult to re-establish for school nights. Attempt to turn off all screens at least one hour before going to bed.

This routine has the added benefit of allowing the adults to have some peace and quiet before bedtime! Better health and peace of mind for everyone.
