Google Bar Search: How It Works

Today, we have many choices when it comes to search engines. Still, most of us are still turning to Google when we need to find accurate information fast on the Internet. Google has managed to maintain its hold as the number one choice of searchers throughout the years because it is known for the accuracy and speed of their results. If you have a website you are trying to promote or are simply an avid user of Google bar search how it works is a subject that probably interests you.
The Google search bar is a an extension or a plugin that is available by default on some browsers, like Firefox, and can be added to others in a small download. This bar is located in the top navigation of the browser, and by merely typing in a search term, the browser will conduct the search through Google’s search function, and display results in the browser page. This is very convenient, as it saves users from having to make an extra step in going to Google’s home page before searching. This Google bar can often be visible or hidden, depending upon the options chosen for the browser’s tool ...

The popularity of Google’s search bar is driven by its ease of use, and the confidence in the search engine itself. In many cases, the same bar used to power Google searches can also be changed to search via Yahoo, or Ask. However, many users are simply more comfortable with Google as their search engine of choice.
Maybe what makes Google’s results more accurate than other search engines is their Query Processor. This is the system that reviews search terms and ‘matches’ them to related documents in the index. It is also the system that formats and ranks the results. While we do not know exactly what the query processor looks at, we do know that it considers well over 100 different types of information when ranking a site.
Google is also well known for not including junk or spam sites in its results. They have very strict set of rules and guidelines that websites must adhere to in order to be included in their index. Violation of these rules can result in a given site being banned. Because of this, sites that are fraudulent or use black hat techniques to attract the spiders are almost always removed from Google’s list of results.
By understanding the process by which Google bar search works, you can begin to see what websites must do in order to rank with Google. By following their strict guidelines and optimizing sites to include the known factors of Google’s formula, website owners stand a much greater chance of appearing high on Google’s search results page.
While several new search engines have recently been released, most notably Bing, Google still reigns supreme. They are likely to continue to be the most visited search engine as they continue to quickly process queries and to respond with accurate results.
