The government introduced citizen charters and service centres in cities and towns, aiming to provide efficient services to residents. These centres streamlined processes for obtaining birth, death, and other certificates, as well as building plan permissions. Additionally, they facilitated prompt action on public grievances. To ensure accountability, the TDP Government introduced a novel reform, offering compensation of Rs 50 per day to individuals if municipal services were not delivered within the stipulated timeframe.
