Dysmenorrhoea can be defined as the gynecological medical condition followed by severe uterine pain during menstruation. Some women experience minor pain but in case of Dysmenorrhoea the pain is very severe and requires immediate medication. In Dysmenorrhoea different kinds of pain can arise, this includes nauseating, sharp, throbbing, dull, burning, or shooting pain. Because of Dysmenorrhoea menstruation may precede for several days and it can coexist with heavy blood loss named as menorrhagia.
Dysmenorrhoea has many signs and symptoms they can be like severe pain in the lower abdomen, in the suprapubic region or the umbilical region of the abdomen. This is one of the main symptoms of Dysmenorrhoea. This pain is commonly felt in the left or right abdomen. Other symptoms can be vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, headache, disorientation, constipation, dizziness, hypersensitivity to sound, light, smell and touch, fatigue and fainting.

Sesame seeds are also a relief giving home remedy for painful menstruation. 1-2 teaspoon of sesame seeds should be taken in a glass of water and should be boiled for a minute, then strain the mixture and drink it for one to two times a day.
