Every homeowner, or property owner that wants to avoid unnecessary costs and inconvenience when the pipe systems at these properties break, should know how to go about reparation or restoration to these systems to avoid further problems and escalating costs. It is good to know a pipe repair services provider near you who has all the knowledge and sewer lining equipment to ensure no time is wasted to affect the repairs necessary. A professional contractor will always be able and ready to offer his clients the best service in terms of which they need, for example, a pipe lining service.

KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME TO ATTEND TO THE PIPE SYSTEM ON YOUR PROPERTY

You may suddenly find that your utility bill, i.e. the account for water usage, is higher than in the past. You may become aware of bad smells and unpleasant odors coming from the bathroom and kitchen, and even outside near the house. You may see wet patches on walls which were not there before. Water may be pushing up from underneath in the garden. When you notice these, it is often a sure sign of a leaking or broken pipe somewhere in the system.

These things ...
... happen since pipes were not made to last forever, especially those from a few decades ago. They were almost always made of clay or cast iron, both materials prone to ageing and corrosion. When pipes start to rust and corrode, they will let water and wastewater in through the cracks and holes, which leads to the property owner’s awareness that something is not as it should be. It may be time to take a serious look at your maintenance options.

TYPES OF MAINTENANCE

When the sewer line needs to be attended to because of corrosion and other issues to the existing pipe system, owners have one of two choices – you either call in a service to replace the old, affected pipes, or you make use of the services of a contractor that can offer you pipe lining as a service. Pipe lining is also known as CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe), which is a process that the technologically advanced service uses to rehabilitate old pipes – as opposed to digging them up and getting rid of them.

WHAT IS MEANT BY PIPE LINING?

Pipelining refers to a process whereby an epoxy coating is applied to repair the old pipe, instead of replacing it. It can be used in a variety of circumstances and with different pipes, whether they are iron, copper or other materials. The pipe lining, in essence, is an epoxy coating which is used to great effect in the restoration of old pipes. There is no digging up of driveways and garden spaces, or removing tiles from walls, for example.

A prepared epoxy resin is applied to a felt which is pulled through the old pipe and expanded so that the whole inside surface of the old pipe is coated with this epoxy to prevent any future water, waste or dampness coming through to cause corrosion. This epoxy now forms a barrier between the old pipe and the new which has been created with the epoxy.

EQUIPMENT

CIPP, i.e. the application of epoxy, is not meant to be done by the amateur. Call a professional company with the appropriate equipment to ensure a proper job is done to guarantee many years of service with your new pipe system. These professionals arrive with equipment such as, say, a video inspection system/camera to establish where the leak is coming from, an air compressor, a system to inject the epoxy resin into the damaged pipe, curing equipment such as UV lighting, and tools to clean the pipe before the epoxy is injected. A professional company has the tools and equipment; they offer the best solution to help ensure a lasting result.

About Us:

NuFlow is a leading drain and sewer line repair specialist with headquarters in San Diego, United States. In the 1990s this well-established company saw the gap in the CIPP market and developed their own well-received Push or Pull-in-Place (PIP) method that added a new dimension to the existing technology. Today their trenchless drain and sewer pipe-lining installations are used by nearly 400 companies globally. Their scope is much wider than that which had been offered before they started to develop their advanced system. They introduced structural liner application to add to an already effective system, with their methods and systems to offer pipe rehabilitation to smaller pipes that run inside buildings.
