Honeywell, a leading player in the aerospace industry both in terms of innovation and technology, has reached a significant milestone in its Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) business unit by receiving contracts with a total value of more than $10 billion. This accomplishment comes a little more than three years after the foundation of the unit, during which time it has created significant collaborations with industry heavyweights such as Archer Aviation, Lilium, Pipistrel, and Supernal, among others.

David Shilliday, vice president and general manager of AAM at Honeywell Aerospace, underlined that this achievement is not only about hitting a financial milestone but rather shows the company's unwavering commitment to influencing the future of aviation and Advanced Air Mobility. Shilliday said that this accomplishment is not simply about reaching a financial milestone. The future that Shilliday envisions is one in which a trip of 100 miles can be completed in less than 45 minutes and same-day delivery of packages is practical in all of the world's inhabited areas.

Honeywell's success in the AAM market may be credited ...
... to the breadth and depth of its product range, which laid the groundwork for the company's entry into this rapidly developing industry. The products and services provided by the business capitalize on the company's significant knowledge in a variety of aerospace industries and act as the "brains, muscles, and senses" of the aircraft. The "brain" driving the operation of the cockpit is the next-generation avionics system manufactured by Honeywell and named Anthem. In the meantime, the fly-by-wire technologies and custom-built actuation systems developed by this business serve as the "muscles," giving accurate flight controls and redundancy for modern vehicles. These aircraft are not only clever but also aware of their surroundings thanks to the various sensors that contribute to their "senses," such as the RDR-84K radar and the AH2000 attitude heading reference system.

Honeywell's nose-to-tail technology has been lauded as a game-changing innovation by Yves Yemsi, the chief operating officer of Lilium. Honeywell's technology is said to set high standards for safety and sustainability while also improving the user experience for pilots.
