Companies Are Going Out Of Their Way To Create An Employee Friendly Work Ambiance!
Fitness and health are inter-related. The sooner you realise it the better but sadly most of us don’t bother about the health aspect and the overall fitness simply because nothing has happened so far. But, we fail to realise that our lack of attention towards a healthy lifestyle can prove to be costly in the long run. In most cases, we assume that even if things go wrong, we can always do something or the other to bring the situation under control.
In the last few years, however there has been a gradual shift. Individuals and companies have woken up to the importance of physical and mental health and wellbeing. Organisations are going out of their way to create an employee friendly work ambiance so that the results are in favour of the organisation.
How Corporate Companies are Realising the Importance of Health and Fitness of Their Employees?
Companies, big and small, across the globe have realised that if the employees are not fit and active, then it can have a direct impact on the productivity level. An unwell employee cannot attend office and in his absence ...
... his work will remain pending. Now imagine if several employees are unwell at the same time, what will happen then? Can you imagine the level of backlog there will be and who will clear the pending work?
To ensure that all the employees remain healthy, companies are setting up gyms inside the office. Employees can hit the gym anytime and exercise to shed the extra kilos and feel good and active. Some companies have recreation rooms for the employees as well where they can play in-house games in between their work. Research shows that this has really impacted the wellbeing and overall health of the employees. They are now more active, fit, happy and positive and look forward to attending office. There is less absentees and very less backlog. Most projects are delivered as per the schedule. And since there is a boost in the performance level of the employees, the growth and development of the company has increased significantly as well.
Corporate Companies are Giving More Importance to Mental and Psychological Wellbeing
When we speak about health, most of us still think of physical health. But this is not correct. One has to give due importance to mental and psychological wellbeing. Corporate companies have woken up to its importance and are organising in house counselling sessions so that employees can address emotional problems and outbursts. This counselling is offered free of cost as part of employee benefit package. Surprisingly, there is a huge turnout of employees who are seeking this counselling session. This shows how important it is to be mentally fit and happy.
More Businesses are Offering Massage Therapy as Part of Employee Wellbeing Measures
We all know how a good massage can improve our body, mind and soul. A thorough massage improves the overall blood circulation in the body, helps to loosen the cramped muscles and veins. Continuous sitting in front of the computer for 10 to 12 hours every day affects the body posture and leads to buffalo hump, neck and shoulder pain, cervical spondylitis, and even lower back pain. If proper action is not taken, the condition is going to turn worse. To make sure that the employees do not experience these pains and are in a good frame of mind, companies are offering Asian massage Sydney therapy benefits to the employees.
Companies are Coming Up with A Hybrid Model of Work
Here, the employees have the flexibility to work from home on few days of the week and work from office on the remaining days. In some cases, the employees can work from remote as well. This in turn is able to bring about the work-life balance, which has been missing for so many years now.
More and more organisations are opening up to these measures because they have realised that at the end of the day, the main asset of a company is its bunch of employees and if the employees are not happy and satisfied, the business will never grow. And none of the measures mentioned above are difficult to offer to the employees at any given point of time.
Summing it Up:
If the latest trends are anything to go by, organisations will come up with many other measures that will be in favour of employees. Some companies have already started to reduce the number of working days. Earlier it was five days office and two days off. Now, many companies are asking the employees to work four days a week with three days off. The results are really astonishing. The loyalty of the employees toward the company has increased manifold. On the days they work, they are fully dedicated and committed. The employees attend office with a positive frame of mind and the delivery rate is way higher than it has been in the last few years.
What measures or steps have your company taken in favour of the employees? Let us know in the comments section. We would love to hear from you all.
