Creative Force Secures $8.9m For Ai-driven E-commerce Content
Creative Force, an end-to-end creative operations workflow platform tailored for e-commerce retailers and brands, has secured $8.9 million in Series A funding. The investment comes from the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and Hearst Ventures, Hearst Corporation's global venture capital division. This Series A funding takes Creative Force's total funding to $17.9 million. The company will use the capital infusion to expand its Danish headquarters and establish a new office in Boston, USA. Additionally, it aims to integrate generative artificial intelligence (AI) into its platform, enhancing retailers and brands' ability to employ AI in their creative content workflows.
Creative Force's platform serves as a comprehensive solution for managing the entire e-commerce content production process, offering retailers and brands an opportunity to optimize their creative operations and produce content that aligns with their objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
"Creative Force will help retailers and brands increase their creative production tenfold," said Thomas Kragelund, CEO and co-founder of Creative ...
... Force. "We offer the only platform that manages the entire e-commerce content production workflow from end-to-end, so we are in a unique position to leverage generative AI to drive innovation at all stages of production, from planning to final file delivery. The investment from Hearst Ventures and EIFO will enable us to scale and holistically solve a perennial content production challenge, enabling brands to focus more on creativity and business goals."
With the rapid growth of global e-commerce predicted to reach $8.1 trillion by 2026, brands and retailers are tasked with producing substantial amounts of content to promote their products, attract customers, and maintain a competitive edge. Traditionally, brands have either outsourced content production to multiple vendors or struggled to manage it in-house due to the complexity and volume of tasks involved. The workflow encompasses a range of activities, including photoshoots, video production, barcode scanning, 3D modeling, copywriting, coordination, model booking, art direction, editing, file management, approval processes, and more.
Creative Force's cloud-based platform streamlines this process by providing a single source of truth for all creative assets throughout the content production cycle. This grants brands enhanced visibility and control over their creative operations, allowing them to produce new content more efficiently, reduce mistakes and reshoots, enhance communication and collaboration, maintain quality and consistency, and increase overall efficiency by at least 30%. The Creative Force platform can integrate seamlessly with popular creative software, such as Capture One, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Workfront.
Creative Force was founded in November 2019 and has handled over 10 million creative assets through its platform over the past year. The company has quietly worked with prominent brands, including Columbia Sportswear, OTTO, ALDO, David Yurman, Tommy Bahama, and others.
Megumi Ikeda, Managing Director at Hearst Ventures, expressed enthusiasm for Creative Force's potential to reshape the e-commerce content creation landscape, emphasizing the company's goal of empowering creative teams to transition from cost centers to value-added contributors within their enterprises. The incorporation of AI in a manner respectful of intellectual property rights holds the promise of enhancing customer experiences and driving sales growth in an increasingly digital world.
Jacob Bratting Pedersen, Partner at EIFO, highlighted the organization's confidence in Creative Force's growth potential, attributing it to their longstanding relationship with the company's experienced entrepreneurs.
Creative Force's cloud-based platform has been embraced by major brands and retailers like Columbia Sportswear, Bestseller, ALDO, Tommy Bahama, boohoo, OTTO, David Yurman, and more. The company, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Holstebro, Denmark, has also established its U.S. headquarters in Boston.
Hearst Ventures is the global venture capital division of Hearst, a diversified information, services, and media company with over $1 billion invested in its corporate venture funds. The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) is a state-owned fund that supports businesses contributing to the growth of the Danish economy and environmental sustainability.
