Singapore is a beautiful country compiled with various cultures. It is the center of tourist attractions. Singapore attracts travelers in many ways. It attracts with its multi culture, shopping malls, Zoo and food. I got many questions when I thought about their cooking style. I wondered what makes Singapore food so delicious. What is the traditional food of Singapore? Etc. I am curious to research more about their cuisine.

Singapore is mixed with people of many cultures. Their food habit also differs according to their culture. I would like to dig more about the history of Singaporean cuisine.

The dominated food culture in Singapore is the native "Malay". It is integrated with Chinese, Indonesian, Indian and British food culture. Singaporean Hawker stores (Street stores) are popular in Singapore. They are cheap and provide nice food varieties. They are better than the restaurants.

In Hawker stores, the Chinese chefs influenced by the Indian culture and they experiment the ingredients such as ghee, tamarind and turmeric. We get nice Indian food varieties here.

The Singapore government organizes ...
... the Singapore food festival every year in July. The multiculturalism of local food, the international cuisine and multi style attract many travelers. Singapore attracts people not only by its cleanliness but also by its wide array of cuisine. The cuisine is similar to the cuisine of Malaysia. Malaysia has strong historical and cultural ties between these two countries.

Many of the Chinese dishes were adapted by early Chinese immigrants. These Chinese varieties are loved by many young generations. Chinese varieties such as Bak kut the, Bak chang, Bak chor mee, Ban mian, Chai tow kway and Char kway teow are popular.

Malay dishes are adapted to local tastes. It differs from Indonesian and Malaysian dishes. Wonderful dishes such as Acar, tofu, Ayam goreng, Curry puff and Soto ayam are really popular varieties.

Indian- Singaporean cuisine attracts multiple ethnic groups. Indian influence is particularly strong in Singapore. The food varieties such as Achar, Muruku, Appom, Thosai, curry, vadai and Pappadam are the popular items loved by all people.

There are also a number of vegetarian and halal food options, and a range of popular desserts. See Places to Eat, Hawker Centre Etiquette and Practical Tips for more. Ultimately, self catering is a low-budget option in Singapore.

Some of the popular restaurants are "No signboard seafood", "Changi village", "Banana leaf apolo" and "East coast lagoon".

Singapore cuisine is hygienic. There are wide food varieties to taste. It is not only popular for its tourist spots but also for its multi cuisine.
