Color Blindness
When we see color, our eyes perceive different wavelengths of light. Our eyes have two types of cells or photoreceptors that allow us to process light and distinguish between colors. There are two types of photoreceptors: rods and cones. Rods detect different sensations for light and dark while cones detect color when there is light. This explains why things look different in the dark. Each wavelength of light displays different shades of color, reds have the longest wavelengths while blues have the shortest wavelengths. Color blindness, a commonly misunderstood condition, means that your eyes are not seeing colors as they should. Although many people associate the word color blindness with seeing only shades of black and white, this type of color blindness is specific. Of course, many blind people see color, but on a much narrower scale. So, what exactly is color blindness? What is color blindness?

There are different degrees of color blindness, but most of them are mainly two types of color vision deficiency: red-green color blindness or blue color blindness. blue-yellow. Color blindness is usually an inherited condition, usually passed from mother to child due to a common X-linked gene. In hereditary color blindness, both eyes are affected. This condition can also occur as a result of an eye disease or injury that damages the optic nerve or retina, but it can affect your eyes differently and get worse over time.
ADVICE ON THE HUMAN BREAST
Signs and symptoms can vary depending on the type of color vision deficiency you have. In cases where color vision is hereditary, the signs may not be there until someone says it, because you still see colors in some way. However, in cases where blindness is acquired later in life, you may notice changes in the way you see colors. Common symptoms of color blindness may include difficulty distinguishing between colors and the inability to distinguish between shades of the same color. In severe cases a person can see any color but only shades of gray, a type of color blindness known as achromatopsia. Research findings
If you think you or your child has color vision deficiency, your eye care professional can help you with a comprehensive eye exam and a simple color vision test. Typically, a test designed to diagnose patients with color blindness is for the patient to distinguish between different types of color blindness. Patients with color vision deficiency will have difficulty finding shapes or numbers in these tests and may not see patterns at all.
