But before you get your hopes up, here's a list of the best modern art galleries in Australia. The art galleries are:

National Gallery of Australia (NGA):

It's worth starting with the gallery in the Australian capital. This gallery is one of the oldest in Australia since it was founded in Canberra (the capital of Australia). This gallery houses one of Australia's largest collections of contemporary art with over 160,000 permanent art collections. The artworks that make up the gallery's permanent collection include international and contemporary works by renowned artists from Australia and around the world. Artists whose works form part of the outstanding NGA collection include Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Rene Magritte, and others.

Gallery has some catching up to do in creating a great visitor experience as it offers an outdoor contemporary art environment to enjoy in the sculpture garden. This garden is located between the NGA building and Lake Burley Griffin. However, you can get carried away by the beauty of the garden and forget to check out the gallery's huge collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art (Australian contemporary art).

The exact location of the gallery is Parkes Place E, Parkes Canberra and is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission to this gallery is free, development is pending. Artists wishing to submit their work to this prestigious gallery should carefully review the process and know who to contact. The gallery also organizes various sessions where you can learn more about the artworks in their collection.
