This will create a connection between the child and the parent and still instill good values in them.
The last practice that can be used to impact discipline on the children is corporal punishment. Even after the child has been guided on what is right or wrong and after they have been given choices, they may still tend to embrace the wrong practices. The parent can take further initiative and use coercive measures such as spanking the child or flogging him. This can serve as a good example to the child and also stress the importance of embracing the right discipline. For instance, a child who constantly lashes out at others in school or at home should be flogged to ensure that they refrain from this behavior. Inflicting pain can sometimes help in putting sense into the child.

However, the kind of corporal punishment that the parent decides to use should be modified based on the age of the child. For very young children less than five years, the parent can simply spank the child than in the case of children who are mature and can be flogged.
