Creating a bathroom design may seem like a relatively simple task at first glance. However, even a very careful approach doesn’t always protect against later identified mistakes. Therefore, let's check the most common of them in order to get the expected result.

1. Small budget for big ideas
Someone includes 15-20 percent for unforeseen expenses in the upcoming costs, and for someone, it is enough to rely on luck. It is important to remember that improperly conducted communications and faulty plumbing can lead to significant adverse consequences. Therefore, you should not hope to save a lot when arranging a bathroom.

2. Wrong installation
If you are not exceptionally versed in the intricacies of installing plumbing, placing electrical outlets, and other issues related to repairs in the bathroom, of course, it is better to contact a specialist. But even in this case, keep an eye on the quality and progress of the work: is the bathtub staggering, at what height is the sink, how well the installation of siphons for the drain is carried out, is there water dripping, are there any strong smells ...
... where are the sockets installed, what type. It is also worth paying attention to how securely the mirror is attached to the wall.

3. Irrational planning
Don't forget to plan your movement and activities within the bathroom. It can be small in size, but the rational use of space will allow you to avoid inconvenience in the future. At the same time, consider not only the footage of the room but even your height. To do this, just imagine for a second how you would like to arrange everything ideally. This will help create a so-called starting point, but the area and the intended content will adjust the final result.

4. No thoughts about the future
Try to plan ahead. Think over the bathroom so that at any time, you can make some adjustments in accordance with any changes. Suddenly you will have a roommate, or maybe you need to shelter relatives for more than one day.

5. Chasing fashion trends
Today, designers offer many original ideas. However, remember the practical side of using this or that thing. It may happen that an unusually shaped sink will contribute to splashing water, and an intricate faucet will simply be inconvenient. A lot of features can be another marketing ploy. Think about what you really need and what you will use. Bright and flashy colors are best used in accessories - if necessary, you can easily change them to others.

6. Poor lighting
Subdued, dim lighting can be a significant factor in creating a relaxing atmosphere. But for everyday routine, such a lighting scenario is still not the best solution. In poor lighting, the skin often looks tired and unhealthy. In addition, the lack of light can affect your own safety. Therefore, the sources must be placed near the mirror and above the bath or shower - so, at least, there is less chance of slipping and falling. It would be great if you had a window in the bathroom since it lets a lot of light from the street throughout the day.

7. No exhaust fans
This item is relevant for both the bathroom and the restroom. Unfortunately, soundproofing and exhaust hoods may be quite bad in old houses. Take care to immediately install exhaust fans, which start working when the light is turned on (for the restroom) or when the button is pressed (for the bathroom). The hood in the bathroom will help the room to “cool down” and ventilate faster.

8. No outlets
There are never too many outlets. There are times when people forget about the outlets in the bathroom, make them few (only for the washing machine), or just think they don't need them, and then wonder how to blow-dry their hair, shave with an electric razor, or where to charge an electric toothbrush? To avoid such questions, make at least two outlets.

9. Incorrect bathroom installation
When installing a bath, check if it has a slope. Plumbing pipes should go to the drain at a slight slope. If you do not think about it in time, it may turn out that the water will not leave well, and an unpleasant smell of musty water will spread in the bathroom.

10. Inappropriate materials
The bathroom is one of those rooms where conditions of high humidity and temperature fluctuations prevail, so be sure to purchase materials that are designed for use in such places to be sure. It is even important to select a special paint that has unique properties. So you do not have to do cosmetic repairs constantly, and you will also avoid the appearance of unnecessary sources of mold and mildew.

11. Few storage spaces
When making repairs, we are often guided by the thought: “Oh, how beautiful it will be!”. But the truth is that we can completely forget that we need to store shampoos, creams, towels, and household chemicals, and you never know what else! It is worth thinking about organizing storage spaces in advance. Firstly, you will be able to choose some furniture (for example, a sink) already with built-in drawers. Secondly, after the repair is completed, you will not expect a situation where there is nowhere to hang a hair dryer or nowhere to put spare shower gels
