What distinguishes humans from other living organisms? The ultimate fact is that communication allows us to express and comprehend each other's points of view and opinions. People with a larger vocabulary are more expressive in their thoughts and have a higher chance of success in life.
That is why, as parents, we should focus on building our child's vocabulary from a young age. If you want to help your child's vocabulary, these suggestions may be useful.

Encourage the child to read books
Encouraging your child to read books is the best way for him or her to learn new words and expand their vocabulary. Books can help them learn new words and sentence structures, allowing them to use them in real-life conversations.

You can make your child read story books, comic books, poems, and other similar materials to improve their vocabulary and inspire their imagination.

Make a Word Chart
When children learn through hands-on activities and preschool lesson planner, they are more likely to remember what they have learned. Create a Word Chart or a Word Wall for your child's improved vocabulary and ...
... ask them to write on it every time they come across a new word.
You can ask them to explain what they think a new word means and try to use it in a sentence whenever they write one. Using the word in a sentence will help them remember the word and its essence.

Introduce Word of the Day
Children enjoy it when they can participate in activities that pique their interest. Fun activities like Introducing Word of the Day can help your child's vocabulary grow faster.

In this activity, you can give your child a new word every day and challenge them to figure out what it means by the end of the day. Asking a question right away may feel like a test, which irritates children, but giving them time to explore and research will pique their interest.
You can encourage them to learn new words by giving them their favourite treats.

Interact with your Child
To help your child's vocabulary, be more vocal and engage in two-way conversations with them. This will necessitate a great deal of patience and compassion on the part of the parents.

Make them feel as though they are being heard and that they can express themselves without fear of being judged. This will allow them to express new emotions through new words, as well as expand their intellectual vocabulary.

Visualize New Words on Paper
When your child is having difficulty recognising a new word, you can assist them by visualising the word on paper. Create a visual representation of the word or a scenario that explains it. This will assist them in memorising and understanding the meaning of the word in a way that will allow them to use the word in a variety of situations.
Visual learning is the most effective way to build a child's vocabulary and prepare them to understand things on a deeper level.
Some Extra Tips:

Perfect practise makes perfect. It is difficult for anyone to learn and fully comprehend a new concept on the first try. You must:

* Repeat the same words for some time with help of preschool learning aids
* Give your child some time to absorb all the learning
* Don’t crowd them with new words every time
* Validate their efforts to improve their vocabulary
* Avoid saying things that can demotivate them

The End Line:
The goal of developing your child's vocabulary is to make them self-sufficient and self-reliant. To enable them to express their thoughts and opinions rather than simply agreeing with the crowd.
A larger vocabulary will help them stand out from the crowd and pave the way for future recognition and success.
