Outdoor play is essential to a child's overall development and learning that happens with help of preschool teaching videos.
We recognise the significance of social interactions in child development. The ability to stay active and explore the natural environment helps to support, motivate, and encourage social interactions.

Outdoor play, on the other hand, has declined in recent years, being replaced by time spent in front of a computer or television.
While mobile devices, computers, and television have become an indispensible part of modern family life, growing evidence suggests that excessive screen time, or time spent in front of these devices, can harm a child's development.

Children who spend more time on screens than is recommended may experience developmental delays and increased behavioural issues, as well as less progress in communication skills, problem-solving, and social interactions, according to research.

We strongly believe in outdoor play because it offers numerous benefits not available through screen-based entertainment. Here are five compelling reasons why parents should put ...
... down the screens and encourage their children to engage in outdoor play.

1. Outdoor play improves social skills
There are numerous simple outdoor activities for toddlers to enjoy. From "Simon Says" and "Ready, Steady, Go" to simply painting rocks outside, these activities encourage children to engage not only with their surroundings but also with other children.
Children can interact with others and make new friends by participating in such games. Children learn empathy, how to express personal needs, how to communicate effectively with others, and how to be polite.
They will be better equipped with interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills if they develop strong social skills at a young age.

2. It encourages physical activity
Adopting a more sedentary lifestyle has resulted in chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity, which is why regular physical activity is encouraged.

Children who engage in more physical activity at a young age:

* Better self-esteem
* Stronger bones, muscles, and joints
* Better posture and balance
* A healthier weight
* Less stress
* Better focus and concentration

Promoting physical activity during a child's development lasts throughout their lives. There are numerous ways for parents to encourage and motivate their children to participate in physical activity.

Push and pull games with balls, walking to the playground, playing games like "peek-a-boo," and playing music and encouraging your child to dance are all examples of activities for babies and preschoolers. These activities should be supervised, and the child should have access to a secure play area.

3. It improves sensory skills
Sensory exploration is an important part of toddler and young child brain development.
Unlike screens, which only use two senses (hearing and sight), outdoor play allows children to explore their surroundings using all five of their senses. Participating in sensory play allows children to define various sensory information and develop sensory-related synapses and functions.

Being able to participate in sensory play such as stomping in puddles (hearing and touch), seeing new animals (sight), finding new rocks or leaves (sight and touch), and discovering new flowers (sight, touch, and smell) provides sensory feedback that a screen cannot provide.
At a young age, these sensory activities engage children in learning environments. Children's young brains can properly develop linguistic, cognitive, visual-spatial, and social skills when they can use multiple senses to complete a task.

4. It develops stronger independence.
Independent play teaches young children independence while also developing their creativity and critical-thinking abilities with help of best preschool learning videos. Outdoor spaces are ideal for parents to encourage their children to direct their own entertainment and navigate an unfamiliar environment.
Independent play is possible for babies as young as six months old. Parents can begin with five or ten minutes of independent play where the child can practise playing with a toy at such a young age. To stimulate development, use brightly coloured toys that make a sound and are easy to grasp.
Independent play should be extended to 20 or 30 minutes as the child grows older (six to 18 months). Toys and activities such as stacking rings help children develop fine motor skills, identify cause-and-effect relationships, and improve observational skills.
It should be noted, however, that screen time should never be regarded as an extension of or a replacement for independent play.

5. It boosts children’s happiness.
Outdoor play that is free and unstructured is the best way for children to explore, make decisions, and take control of their physical activity.
The ability to run around in open, unrestricted environments allows children to develop motor skills, spatial and body awareness, and social skills.

However, the benefits of outdoor play go beyond physical health. Data show that exposing children to nature helps them de-stress. Nature has a calming effect on children, reducing anxiety and hyperactivity.
Sunshine also stimulates the pineal gland, a vital part of the brain that helps to maintain our immune system and mental health.
The more outdoor physical activity children engage in, the better their mental health becomes. This fosters a more positive mental attitude in children, resulting in fewer developmental issues.
Children nowadays have less and less contact with nature.
Children are inherently curious. Allow them to explore the wonders of the great outdoors in a safe and encouraging environment.
