Ndis Support Coordination And Psychosocial Disabilities: What To Expect
Psychosocial disabilities result from mental health conditions in an individual. Although not everyone who experiences a mental health condition will develop a psychosocial disability, for those who do, it can have a significant impact on their daily lives and journey to recovery. People with psychosocial disabilities who are eligible for the NDIS can access various support and services like Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching. These are two completely different yet complementary NDIS supports that can help the participants manage their disability and work towards their goals.

Support Coordinators will stay in touch with the Recovery Coach of the participants to properly implement and maintain their NDIS supports. While Support Coordinators are equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the NDIS, Recovery Coaches assist participants based on their lived or learnt experience of mental health.
