Varun Mudra is also known as the 'Seal of Mental Clarity'. This mudra helps in controlling the water elements in your body. This stimulates the salivary glands and helps in moisturizing dry eyes and moisturize skin. Varun Mudra enhances your beauty and keeps the body healthy. This mudra protects us from all kinds of diseases caused by lack of water. Our body is made up of five elements. When the balance of water and air elements in our body gets disturbed, then we start getting Vata and Kapha-related diseases. Varun Mudra is done to avoid all these diseases.

How to do Varun Mudra
First of all, you should spread a sheet or a thick carpet on the ground in a clean or ventilated room or a field.
Sit on the front edge of your yoga mat in Sukhasana easy pose or Padmasana lotus pose.
Get comfortable with your sitting position as the first priority of yoga asana is to be in a stable and comfortable balance.
Then, while touching the top knuckle of the smallest finger (little finger) with the top knuckle of the thumb, press it lightly and keep the remaining three fingers straight.

Precautions of Varun Mudra

This posture should not be visited by noisy people and dirty places.
If doing mudra cures all your diseases then stop doing this mudra.
You can do this mudra in summer and other seasons for 24-24 minutes in the morning and evening.
Don't push your network too hard, push too lightly.
You can do this asana in summer and other asanas for 24-24 minutes in the morning.
Do not do this mudra for some more time in the winter season.
This mudra should be done on an empty stomach.


Benefits of Varun Mudra

When there is an excess of water element in the body, then use this mudra.

For example:-

When the stomach is filled with water, which is called ascites.
When the lungs are filled with water, which is called pleurisy.
Water gets filled anywhere in the hands, and feet.
If there is swelling anywhere in the body, do this mudra.
When water is flowing from the nose, water is flowing from the eyes, sinus diseases, and lungs are filled with mucus, then use this mudra.

In the same way, if the legs become the elephant's feet, if the feet swell and become big like an elephant, then this mudra should be used. Apply this mudra for half an hour to 45 minutes.

This mudra destroys all diseases caused by lack of water.
Varun Mudra is beneficial in nerve pain, and intestinal inflammation.
If it is practiced regularly, the blood becomes pure.

It maintains the balance of the water elements of the body.

This mudra is helpful in balancing blood circulation and getting rid of skin diseases, and anemia.
