Top 4 Entrance Exams In India For Mba
Every year, approximately 10 million students graduate from various college streams in India. However, only about 4 million people find work, leaving 6 million people unemployed. It is a three-section computer-based test:
1. Verbal ability and reading comprehension
2. Data interpretation and logical reasoning
3. Quantitative ability
There are 66 questions in total, divided into two sections. The first section is non-MCQ, with no negative marking for wrong answers. The second section consists of multiple-choice questions, with each incorrect answer receiving a -1.
Time Duration: The examination lasts two hours, with candidates having 40 minutes to complete each section.
The purpose of the exam is to assess the candidate's ability to think critically and solve problems. The questions range in difficulty, and the candidate is expected to attempt all of them.
NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test)
NMAT is one of India's top four MBA entrance exams. It is a computer-based test administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It is a national-level management entrance exam for NMIMS and other top business schools in India. It is intended to assess candidates' aptitude for management programmes.
The test is given in two sessions: morning and evening. The exam is 2 hours long and consists of 108 multiple-choice questions.
It is divided into three parts.
1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Verbal Ability
3. Logical Reasoning
Every year in October, November, and December, the NMAT is held. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university to be eligible for the NMAT.
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test)
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, or SNAP, is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India. Every year, over 2 lakh students take the SNAP exam with the help of teachers for MBA Exam in order to gain admission to one of the top Symbiosis International University affiliated institutes.

The examination lasts 60 minutes.
The exam is given online.
For incorrect answers, there is a ¼th negative marking.
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is one of the top four exams used to select students for MBA programmes in India. The XAT is a paper-based examination with multiple-choice questions. The examination is divided into three sections: verbal and logical ability, decision making ability, quantitative ability, and data interpretation. The test has a total time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes.
More than 150 business schools use XAT scores in their MBA programs. XAT is a national-level MBA entrance exam administered on behalf of XAMI by XLRI Jamshedpur.
It is computer-based and lasts 2 hours 40 minutes.
The XAT is a highly competitive exam with a high cut-off score. The average XAT score required for admission to top B-schools falls between the 95th and 99th percentile.
Every year in January, the XAT exam is held.
