5 Things You Must Do In The Last Week Before Cat

You must be experiencing anxiety at this time. It's entirely natural. However, if you are panicking, you are probably going too far. Rest assured that your efforts over the last few months will not be in vain. We can only hope that all readers of this post get the colleges they deserve and that they get something even better. However, we all know that this is statistically impossible. Here are a few things you can do in the final week to calm your nerves and hopefully ace the CAT 2023 exam with the help of your best teachers for CAT preparation.
1. Revise important formulas
While we understand that you have prepared well for the CAT, it never hurts to go over the formulas one more time. Nothing beats notes you've prepared yourself, but if you haven't, don't worry - we've got your back. You can download a PDF by clicking on the link provided below. It is a compilation of all the important formulas/shortcuts/tricks required to ace the CAT Quantitative Aptitude section.
2. Attempt 2 mock tests
Some students, and even some teachers, believe that taking a mock exam every day in the week leading up to the ...
... CAT is a good idea. That is not something we believe in. That, we believe, would be a waste of your time. It is far better to perform a few mocks and then analyze them. Too many mocks may end up doing more harm than good. What if you fail three of those mock exams? What if you become overconfident and attempt more questions than you should on the exam? These mock exams are designed to help you fine-tune your preparation in the final week, not to determine what you do on exam day. We recommend that you take two practice tests, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. Analyze the first mock on Wednesday, followed by the second on Friday. You should also take these practice exams at the same time as your actual exam. Maintain the same sleeping schedule that you would on exam day. All of these minor details contribute.
If you have time, go over some more Reading Comprehension passages. You can never practice enough passages, and it is the most important section of the CAT exam. Keep Saturday free for the following point.
3. Visit the center
We recommend visiting the test center on Saturday unless you are very familiar with it (or any other day of the week). You'd become accustomed to the route. You'd get an idea of how long it takes. On the day of the exam, there would be no surprises. It may appear to be a pointless exercise, but the mental peace it will bring will be worth the time and effort you put into it.
4. Test Guide
IIM Bangalore has published a comprehensive test guide outlining what to do and what not to do on exam day. You can get it by clicking on the link below. Please read it thoroughly. It may appear obvious and redundant, but you may overlook something critical, putting you in an awkward position on the day of the exam. The examination authority will conduct the exam in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines established by the Government of India, which include CAT exam center sanitization, temperature check at entry, physical separation, use of face masks and hand sanitizers, and so on.
The document verification section is one of the most common mistakes we've seen CAT aspirants make with the help of best online teachers for CAT preparation. While it is included in the guide, we would like to emphasize it.
Along with the Admit Card, candidates must present at least one original (not photocopied or scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification (ID) card (such as a College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card, and Identification Affidavit). The Candidate's photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card, and the name on the Admit Card should match.
The photos do not always match. Signatures do not always match. Please be mindful of the documents you carry so that they do not become a source of stress on the day of the exam.
5. Eat healthy
For the next week, avoid junk food and fast food. You don't want to get sick on what is likely to be the most important day of the year. Additionally, avoid getting drunk or partying in the previous week. We recognize that this can be a stress reliever, but you should probably look for other ways to unwind. Before the exam, it is critical to eat healthily and establish a routine. This isn't your 6th semester end-of-semester exam that you can ace after a night on the town. Or maybe you can, but we wouldn't recommend it.
