Organic Tea – A Preference For Many
Just as coffee drinkers have their preferences, the world’s tea drinkers know what they want. And for many, this is a preference for premium organic tea.
So what makes tea organic, and why do so many people in, for example, London, and the rest of the UK, where tea is enjoyed all the time, prefer it to other teas? The reason is simple: organically grown and harvested produce – also tea – is grown in soil where, for at least three years, such product has not been exposed to harmful chemicals and synthetic fertilisers and pesticides. Organic produce is pure, as nature intended it, and will not compromise certain aspects of one’s health.
There is, worldwide, a great drive to have many of these mentioned chemicals removed from food and other products so that they are clean, healthy, and pure. In a country such as the UK with its millions of tea drinkers that start their day with a cuppa, and take their last sip before bedtime, it is good to know that you can, indeed, buy organically grown teas. They are sold in supermarkets and specialist shops and, these days, also on leading websites. With a little bit ...
... of research, the buyer quickly finds the best among these online suppliers that market only premium organic tea.
The lover of tea will be happy to know that there are several types of organic tea, many of which are infused with other lovely, natural ingredients to produce a unique aroma that talks to the senses. In essence, there are four types of teas, all with their varieties. The four types are black tea, green tea, white tea, and oolong. Some are more popular in certain parts of the world or among cultures.
Many people drink tea for its medicinal qualities, such as are offered by herbal teas, whereas other tea drinkers may only be interested in whether the tea was organically grown, as they like all or most teas – but only if it is a pure product.
A specific tea’s character and aroma, and its quality, are determined by where it was grown, and how. Therefore it should be expected that teas grown in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas will have qualities different from those grown in Brazil or southern Africa, even though it is mentioned that by far most teas come from Asia and nearby regions, from where the teas are exported to tea drinking societies such as, say, the UK.
Looking at the four types, some specific characteristics determine who drinks them. For example, black teas are a popular substitute for morning coffee in many countries and also, often, the UK. Different varieties of green tea, on the other hand, are known for their healing and medicinal qualities, often consumed to relieve stress and worry – and to help aid weight loss. Oolong is often enjoyed to accompany Asian dishes, and white tea is known for being more gentle and delicate than other options.
Tea, specifically organic tea, has various benefits for the tea drinker. It helps maintain a proper balance in the digestive system, and it is known for its antioxidant qualities, which are what the body relies on to stay healthy and to help slow down the aging process. There are so many good organic teas available today, and so many varieties known for some lovely aromas, great taste and to help enhance feelings of relaxation and peacefulness, for example. Some great fusions open up a whole world of possibilities, and ordering your tea from an experienced, knowledgeable supplier, is a sure way to ensure hours of great happiness.
