Recycling is a great way to reduce the amount of waste in landfills and oceans, but recycling metal is even better! Metal has many uses and benefits, and it's important to recycle it properly if we want those benefits to continue.
Metal recycling Adelaide can take different forms depending on the type of metal being recycled. There are several types of materials that can be recycled into new products: Aluminum cans, steel cans, copper pipes, brass fittings and bronze statues are all examples.
Aluminum
Aluminum is one of the most abundant elements on earth, and it's also one of the most recycled metals.
After they've been collected from curbside recycling bins or drop-off locations (like grocery stores), aluminum cans go through a process called "can-making" that turns them into new products like beverage containers, windows and siding for homes and buildings, cookware for restaurants and other food service businesses, automotive parts such as radiators or ...
... exhaust fans inside cars' engines...you get the idea.
Steel
Steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world. In fact, more than 80% of all steel produced today is recycled material. Steel recycling saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to producing new steel from raw materials.
Steel recycling also supports jobs in your community, because it's an industry that relies on skilled workers who can do things like sort metals by type or turn scrap into new products like cars, appliances and building materials.

Copper, Brass and Bronze
Copper is a reddish-brown metal. It's often used to make coins and other small objects, but it can also be used in larger pieces of art or jewelry.
Brass is a yellowish-brown metal that's made from copper and zinc. It can be found in many household items such as doorknobs and faucets, ornaments like statues of animals or even musical instruments such as horns!
Bronze refers to alloys containing at least 10% tin and 5% antimony (or arsenic) by weight; however, most bronzes contain only 2%-3% tin with no added antimony at all!
This makes them much cheaper than pure copper but still strong enough for most applications requiring strength like plumbing pipes or decorative sculptures such as statues of famous people that are placed outdoors on public display so everyone can admire them while enjoying nature during their free time away from work/home responsibilities :)
Aluminum Soda Cans and Recycling
How do aluminum cans get made? They start with bauxite ore (a type of rock) that's crushed and processed into alumina, which is then refined into pure aluminum oxide powder. This powder is melted at high temperatures to form liquid metal or sheet stock that can be rolled out into thin sheets for use in can production machines.
The sheets are stamped with designs before being formed into round shapes by automated machines called draw presses; once formed, these become what we know as beverage cans!
Conclusion
We hope you've enjoyed this look at some of the most common types of metal recycling Adelaide. We love hearing from our readers and sharing information with them whenever possible.
