Even though I had never run either a half-marathon or a full marathon before, I decided to take advantage of the Rock 'n' Roll opportunity and give it my all (in more ways than one) because why not? I was confident that my body could walk at least 13.1 miles because it sounded like a lot of fun, and I knew I could do it. But ultimately, I wanted to prove that I could cross the finish line and run the half-marathon without stopping or dropping out.

I will freely admit that I was afraid and nervous about what was to come in the days leading up to the marathon. I am an intermediate runner, and my weekly goal is to complete between four and five runs, with the distance of each run ranging from three to six miles. On the other hand, I signed up for the half-marathon on the spur of the moment only two weeks in advance, which meant that in addition to my regular runs, I needed more focus on training for the half-marathon.
Things I Have Picked Up While Competing In My Very First Half Marathon

Before discussing the points, let us tell you how you can experience your first marathon. The Pankh MP Half-Marathon is an ...
... event that Bansal News organised to provide young athletes aged 19 and younger with the opportunity to showcase their athletic prowess. Register yourself for the event by going on to the website www.mpmarathon.run and make your first experience the best experience.
1. It Will Take Some Time To Train For Your First Half-Marathon
Most training plans for a half-marathon call for a minimum of eight weeks of preparation. Beginner exercise routines range anywhere from twelve to twenty weeks in length. Your body will have plenty of time to get strong to increase your mileage.

It is best to err on caution and give yourself more time whenever possible. Make sure you give yourself adequate time to train for your first half-marathon by giving yourself plenty of extra time. During the first few weeks of the training program, your primary focus should be establishing a solid running foundation. After that, you should shift your attention to steadily extending the distance of your long runs throughout the remainder of the program.
