Prepare The Lock
Preparing the lock is optional, but will make the key extraction process easier. Start by applying a lubricant inside the keyhole, preferably a graphite-based lubricant or a dry lubricant. Oil-based lubricants, such as standard WD-40, can be used, but they make the insides of the lock slippery and will be more difficult to retrieve. Also, in the long run, you may have problems with the smoothness of the mechanism's rotation.
The pliers
If the key is left on the surface, first take a pair of needle nose pliers and try to pull it out. If the key is easily accessible, removing it with pliers will be child's play!

2 easy ways to recover a broken key in the lock
1. Tweezers
When a key breaks off in the lock, most people take tweezers and try to retrieve it. Before proceeding, however, you should check the thickness of the tweezers and the depth of the key inside the keyhole. In fact, most tweezers are not suitable for this type of operation and push the key deeply.
Before proceeding, make sure that the tweezers have an opening to accommodate the thickness of the key, but are thin enough that they can slide around the sides of the key without pushing it in.
In fact, most tweezers can't get between the gear and the key to retrieve the broken half inside, but they can be very useful if part of the broken key is sticking out of the keyhole.
Have you ever played the cheerful surgeon? We all loved it as kids, but you know that life is not a game and often getting busy with tweezers is riskier than it seems. Use this method only if you are sure of the result, otherwise keep reading, you will surely find a method more suitable for your situation.
2. Broken key extractor
There is a tool to remove broken keys professionally called a broken key remover. Some blacksmiths create ad hoc tools to carry out their interventions, but if they have not built their own equipment, in all probability they will use this tool.
If you have it available, simply place it along the slot in the lock in conjunction with the broken key and make sure that the hooks of the extractor are able to clip to the metal part of the key. Once the tool is attached to the wrench, a twist and pull is enough to remove the broken part, but don't forget that even then you may have to make more than one attempt before you get a result.

Simple Ways to Fix a Jammed Door Lock

Also keep in mind that this technique can damage the door if the quality of the door is not so good. The knock lock itself is a key that can fit into any keyhole.
However, this key does not work like a duplicate key.
2. Use Anti-Rust Cleaner or Oil
Usually, a jammed door lock is caused by rust in the keyhole. Use a cleaning fluid with anti-trust ingredients to clean it. If you are in a hurry, just use car oil.
Here's how you can try:
Open the hood; Pull the oil gauge stick; and Drop the oil stuck to the stick onto the key.
3. Call the Locksmith for lock repair
If none of the above methods work, maybe it's time to call a locksmith. Besides being safe, this is the easiest way you can do it.
4. Use a Key Breaking Tool
If you don't want other people to help you, maybe you can buy a break-in device at the nearest store. Before using this search, you need to first learn how to use it.
Here's how to use a key breaker:
Insert and turn the breaker into the lock housing; Point the tool toward the key housing pin;
Do this until the lock can be removed. If you want to make this tool yourself, there's a simple way to do it. Prepare tongs and scissors/pliers made of aluminum or hard metal which will be used as levers.
5. Use Screwdriver and Screw
This method can be used to solve a jammed door lock that cannot be removed.
How to open a stuck door lock using a screwdriver and screws is as follows:
Remove the screw located on the inside of the lock on the door handle. Replace the old key with a new key that is exactly the same size as the previous key. Install the new lock by inserting the iron rod in the position of the handle hole and installing the screws from the lock body. Put the lock handle back by screwing it into the position of the hole that is already available.
6. Using the L Key for lock repair
How to open a door lock that cannot be removed can also be done using an L key. However, you can only apply this to the type of door with a round handle. To use this method of overcoming a jammed lock, you must prepare 1 set of L keys.
With a properly sized L wrench, insert the key into the keyhole and move it back and forth until you feel the tool touching something.
If the L key is in the right position, then slowly turn the door opener.
7. Break it down!
This is the last method you can do if none of the methods above are effective. However, breaking down the door is not as easy as it sounds. There are safe ways so that you don't get injured when you break down a door.
Here's how:
Stand in an upright position; Spread your feet shoulder width apart and bend your knees slightly;
Hold your arms against the wall and hold them with all your might; and Break the door with your body.
In addition to the body, you can also break the door with your feet. The trick is to just kick right in the area next to the key house with all your might. Here are some simple ways to deal with jammed door locks. If you want to make sure the door stays intact, it's a good idea to just use a cleaning tool.
