Narayan Nagbali Puja Trimbakeshwar (One of the 12 Devine Jyotirlinga)


Narayan Nagbali Pooja is also known as a Pitru Dosh Nivaran Pooja. Because most people perform this Pooja to reduce Pitru Dosh from their life. Now let us discuss what is Pitru Dosha.
The word “Pitru” means our forefathers. If a person's dead forefathers have done some bad deeds in their life or if some of their wishes remain unfulfilled, then the pitru dosha shows in a person's horoscope.
In Narayan Nagbali Pooja there are two different pooja vidhi’s are involved for two different reasons. 1) Narayan Bali Puja 2) Nagbali Puja

Narayan Bali Puja :

All over India Narayan Bali Puja is only performed near Tribakeshwar Jyotirlinga. If any unnatural death happens in our family then performing this pooja is good for the dead person's soul. Unnatural death means death can be by accident, snake bit, suicide, etc. If shradha ceremony of our forefather doesn’t perform for the past three years then Pitru Dosha occurs in a person's horoscope that time to remove this dosha from the horoscope we can also perform Narayan Bali ...
... puja. It is said that Narayan Bali Puja is the Kaamya Karma situation.

Mantra used in Narayan Bali puja

“शस्त्रघातमृताये चा स्पर्शस्पृष्टवा तथैव च तत्तु दुर्मरणम ग्येयम यच्चजातं विधिंविना।
अतःतस्य सुतै पौत्रे सपिंडैशुभमिच्छुभिः नारायणबलिं कार्यो लोकगर्धाभिया खग”

Reasons for performing Narayan Bali Puja :

Many reasons for performing this pooja are given in Garuda Purana. All the reasons are related to Unnatural death. Narayan Nagbali Pooja performed who wants to succeed in education, business, and financial conditions and also to remove marriage-related problems.

Nagbali Pooja :

If You kill a snake in your life or if you participate in killing a snake then to remove this sin of killing a snake you have to perform Nagbali Pooja under the guidance of Trimbakeshwar Pandits. In this ritual, guruji makes a dummy body of a snake with wheat flour and performs the last right of the snake. Killing snakes is not good because in Hindu culture snake is worshipped. Nagbali Pooja is undertaken only at Trimbakeshwar under the guidance of authorized pandits of Trimbak.

Nag Bali Puja is performed to remove the sin of killing a snake.


Importance of Narayan Nagbali Pooja :

Narayan Nagbali Pooja is important to fulfil our forefather’s incomplete wishes, which may create issues in the next generation's life. Because of this ritual soul of our forefather get the highest state of moksha. In this pooja pandit’s makes a dummy body with wheat flour of that person and performs the last right of them. Pooja dates are decided on the basis of Nakshatra. The right time for this pooja is Pitru Paksha’s pitru akadashi.

Narayan Nagbali Vidhi :

This pooja takes three days to complete. In the Hindu religion, only males can do this pooja individually and women do this pooja with their husbands. Trimbakeshwar Pandit helps you throughout the pooja process.

Day 1: Pooja starts by taking bath in the holy Kushawart Kund located near Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and by worshipping Lord Shiva’s linga. Wear new clothes, a dhoti for men and a saree for women. Avoid wearing black and green clothes. After worshipping Lord Shiva, Pooja starts at the location Ahilya Godavari Sangam near Trimbakeshwar. Pandit Ji put an idol of lord| Vishnu and Vaivasvata Yama in two different bowls and start pooja with Kalsh Pooja. Next, the five Gods of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesha are worshipped. Purushukta Havan, Fire installation, Eadashi Vishnu Shraddha, Palash Vidhi, Pindi Daan are worshipped. Offer ten pindas on darbha. Apply sandalwood pest on pindas with honey, sesame seeds, ghee and absorb them in any water body. This is all about the first-day ritual.

Day 2: Next day pooja again starts by taking bath in the holy Kushawart Kund and by wearing the same clothes. On the second day, Sapindha Shradha performed. Lord Vishnu worshipped first. Invite Brahmans by odd numbers like 1, 3, or 5. Offer four Pindas by chanting the names of Lord Vishnu, Brahma, shiva, and Yama. Offer fifth Pindas in the form of Lord Vishnu and give clothes, cow, and gold to one Brahman. After that the Brahmins should offer water containing darbh, sesame and tulsi leave to the devotee.

Date 3: Third-day pooja starts with worshipping Lord Ganesha. Because all negative vibes vanished in the previous two days of pooja. We worship a small golden idol of a snake and give that to Brahmin. And in last we distribute a Bhog and Prasad to all devotees.
And in that way, Narayan Nagbali Pooja gets completed by getting Lord Shiva's blessings.

The cost of pooja totally depends on how much samagri pandiji is used in havan and during pooja.
