What After Cat Exam Is Over?
What, in your opinion, should be done following the CAT? Ideally, after the exam, most applicants, especially those who are not working, are slightly perplexed about what comes next. The CAT Preparation taking the help of personal tutors for MBA exam becomes so ingrained in daily life that there is a void in the day without it. The majority of candidates use this time to relax before the CAT results are announced. However, this is a waste of time that, if you are not careful, could cost you a spot in your desired B-School. Some applicants participate in a short-term certification program or look for short-term internships to fill their time, while candidates who are unsure about their CAT score attempt to retake the exam. During this time, students should exercise extreme caution because a genuine MBA aspirant must complete a number of processes following the CAT result.
Following the CAT Exam, you should do four things:
Newspapers should be a must-read
CAT relies on every piece of news and newspaper. You must focus on the content provided, grammar, writing style, and learning new terms. You should read the ...
... editorial section of the newspaper in addition to the news. They will make you appear alert for your PI session and will be of great help for your W.A.T (Written Ability Test), which will play an important role in your overall selection. If you currently read newspapers in the morning, now is a good time to broaden your horizons and try reading ones written in a different style. Each newspaper has a distinct flavor. Here are a few of them for you to read.
The Financial Times
The Hindustan Times
Mint
The Hindustan Times
You can also use your phone to install various programs and browse electronic forms.
Participate in Webinars and Workshops
A thorough preparation for your GD-PI round is required; otherwise, your efforts will be futile. Take part in as many interactive sessions as possible. You can always participate in webinars if you are not ready for that level of commitment. What you will encounter during your GD-PI round will necessitate professional assistance, so don't dismiss it out of hand. This is an excellent opportunity to practice your C.V. presentation. You must present yourself in the best possible light, but this does not imply that you must overdo it, which is where professional assistance comes in. Join a reputable institution and work on yourself.
Backup Strategies
The last thing you want to do right now is sit. Taking additional exams is probably the last thing on your mind right now. On the bright side, you're already prepared, and having a backup won't hurt.
GMAT - If you have any work experience, you can always apply to business schools abroad.
If you are a newcomer, you will only need to create a fantastic college essay, which you can use for all of your applications with minor changes.
XAT - B-schools include XLRI, XIME, SPJAIN, and many others.
MAT - This exam is given four times a year, and the scores are accepted by over 500 business schools.
TISSNET is run by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), which has campuses in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and MHAT.
Take a Rest
Finally, take a break and read a novel, watch some good movies, and catch up on your sleep because you deserve it and it isn't in your plans for the next two years.
Following the CAT exam, MBA candidates should prepare for the next stage of selection at various institutes with the help of teachers for MBA Exam. IIMs use WAT and PI for subsequent selection, but some institutes use GD and PI. As a result, in order to be admitted to their preferred institute, candidates must thoroughly prepare for the following steps.
Conclusion
The road after CAT is just as difficult as the road before CAT. (In some cases, this is even more difficult.) The preparation for the WAT, GD, and PI must begin as soon as possible. Because it will increase your chances of admission to your preferred B-School. The GD Preparation, like the CAT Preparation, necessitates extensive practice. Despite the fact that the skill sets under consideration are somewhat diverse.
Only CAT scores and the institute's CAT cut-off are taken into account. After passing the CAT Exam, the applicant must concentrate on their knowledge base, communication skills, and ability to think on their feet. Candidates who advance to the next round of shortlisting, such as WAT, GD, and PI, should prepare thoroughly for these, especially the GD. The GD Preparation should help you demonstrate to the universities you apply to why you are a good fit. The term "CAP" refers to the selection rounds conducted by the top six IIMs (IIM BLACKI) (Common Admission Process). The performance of candidates in these rounds determines the merit lists released by IIMs. The final admission is determined by a combination of factors, including the CAT score, WAT score, GD and PI score, Academic Diversity, Gender Diversity, and Work Experience (Optional).
