The WagonR had been on the roads for very long until the new model came along. The recently launched new WagonR has been doing very well on the Indian roads. Compared to its predecessor, the new WagonR is brawnier, more muscular, more macho. Let's have a look at the car's features.

Look at the car again and you see the sparkling shine in its blue eyes. The roof has now turned slopy and the fenders are all-new. The massive wheels too have grown in size adding to the athletic character of the new car. The new WagonR is the result of the old one undergoing some changes in its exteriors and the engine too. The headlamp cluster that we spoke about earlier is entirely new.

The doors have become larger to help occupants easily get in and out of the new car and there's chrome accentuation everywhere with the WagonR brand engraved at the back in chrome. There is better rear visibility too. Similarly, the new Maruti Wagon R also has a new grille and spanking new front bumpers. Even the instrument console on the inside has an all-new design and the plastic quality has been enhanced.

Coming to the engine, the new WagonR ...
... has the 1-litre K10B engine. No second thoughts about this engine that is capable of delivering 60 bhp. This 998cc 3-cylinder engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Hyundai i10 may be the winner when it comes to fuel efficiency with a mileage of 18.9 kmpl. But, the new WagonR is no less with an outstanding fuel economy of 18 kmpl. The engine is fully compliant with the new emission norms as well.

The all-new integrated audio with AUX-in and 6-band graphic equalizer in the new Maruti WagonR takes entertainment on the drive to a whole new level. In the interiors there's silver accentuation all around. There is the new tilt steering wheel, an ergonomic gear knob and a new speedometer design that let the driver drive comfortably with ease. On the whole, the ambience is extraordinary and with the best-in-class wheelbase (40 mm more compared to the earlier version), one can be sure that the new car is a spacious package. The cable type transmission and new frame type suspension offer great stability on all roads. The front suspension has been worked upon very well this time to ensure better handling.

Not just the space, the new WagonR comes with so many advanced features and accessories for better driving comfort. The car is high on safety too. So, the competition is sure going to be tough, and we may have to wait a while to decide who exactly wins; the Hyundai i10, the Chevy Beat or the new WagonR.
