The Canary Islands are a prime holiday destination on national and international levels thanks to their numerous virtues, suchlike unbeatable landscapes, gorgeous beaches and privileged climate. However this summer the Tourism Council of Fuerteventura's Cabildo as pioneered a tourism promotional campaign targeted at the islands' habitants. Its objective is to boost bury-island tourism and to get Canarians to spend the summer in the Canary Islands.

The campaign comprises of two separate elements. On one side, a original percentage which is generic and common to all seven islands which was filmed in respective areas throughout the archipelago to get habitants of those privileged islands to stay and get enjoyment from the summer in their autonomous community. On the other hand, a second percentage developed for every island individually to promote trips and visits on every Canary Island.

As for Fuerteventura, the campaign, promoted by the Cabildo's Tourism Council in collaboration with the Canarian Government, is principally grounded on beaches.

... on television and on the web, represent respective situations in three separate locations: Sotavento beach, Corralejo's dunes and the fishing harbour of El Cotillo.

The Tourism Councillor of Fuerteventura's Cabildo, Águeda Montelongo, is quite satisfied with this initiative, because tourism within the islands themselves is very interesting as the average daily spending is high and it tends to consist of short breaks, which means that it is a dissimilar type of tourism to the traditional one and comprises of a perfective complement.
