Weddings are to be remembered for all the right reasons: a beautiful bride or brides, a handsome groom or grooms, beautiful flowers and food – and also the wedding car or wedding cars as many couples need for their big day.

There are so many great choices to ensure that every taste, requirement and demand will be catered for. Some may prefer a unique vehicle such as, say, a red double-decker bus that transports the whole group to the venue. This means that the party starts even before the formalities have been completed. This may set the scene for a lively function, one with great emphasis on the party itself.
Another couple may be much more formal and decide they prefer a vehicle – or a pair of vehicles – from a bygone era such as the 1920s when cars were still novel. Many of them are, still today, recognized for representing the decades such as the 20s and 30s during which they were seen on the roads. They are still popular as wedding cars today.

But so are those that immediately followed that period, the so-called classic cars of which, obviously, there will be more choices today – mainly because ...
... they were the cars of the late30s, the 40s and all of those until the 1980s. The ones after that could be loosely termed the so-called modern cars.
Classic cars – very popular too as wedding cars in modern times –are discerned from their predecessors for sleeker lines, and many more new brands, even though the vintage brands never lost their allure and appeal. The Rolls Royce, true vintage, has never been out of fashion, whether you like the stately 1920 Limousine model or 2022’s Ghost Rolls Royce. The same is true for the old vintage Landaulette and some other brands.

The classic cars, those that followed, are no less classy or stately. Think of the Austin Princess Limousines which are true examples of what a wedding car, adorned in the appropriate balloons of one’s choice, looks like. This early-classic style wedding car has remained a popular choice for the couple that enjoys the classic period. More examples include the 1947 and 50s Armstrong-Siddeley Lancaster Limousines, and the Sapphire, as well as the Star, from the same stable. These are examples only. There are more choices.
Aston Martin is another celebrated brand that wedding couples love to book for their big day, as are the various choices of the Austin Princess Limousines. These cars, often from the 1960s, are regularly seen to transport wedding couples - and often guests such as bridesmaids and grooms, the mother of the bride and more, to and from the church or/and the reception venue.

They are more often seen than the true vintage models, most probably because there are many more of them still around. There are still the Buicks from the 1950s, the Chevrolets from the 1960s and 1970s, a choice of Alfa Romeo Spiders, Citroens and a whole lot more. These cars are popular for various reasons. Firstly, they are unlike the modern cars and SUVs we drive today, they are immediately recognized for being from a different era, and they will be remembered fondly by wedding couples as a car from the distant past.

To find such a car for your most important day does not have to be that difficult. In the UK, for example, some great wedding car hire firms such as, say, Premier Carriage – and one or two others – are known for their choices of great cars that they source for clients from their data base of owners that rent these cars out to the public on special occasions -via a good wedding car hire company.
Different periods have their own cars. The classic period offers great choices for wedding couples and their entourage, and they are not that difficult to find, provided you deal with a good car hire service and provided you do not wait too long to book your choice(s).
