16 Things To Do After A Yoga Teacher Training Program
You have recently completed your yoga teacher training program and are now looking forward to what to do next. Here are 16 things that you need to do after a yoga teacher training program.
Completing your yoga teacher training program is a great step towards your future. However, there are a few certain steps that you need to keep in mind. Attending workshops, practising daily, honing your skills, and networking are all important pillars for a successful career as a yoga teacher or for personal accomplishments.
Here is a list of top 16 things that you need to do after completing your 200 hour yoga course.

Get certified and registered under the Yoga Alliance.
The very first step that you need to take is to register yourself with the Yoga Alliance. Attend the yoga school, which is most likely registered under a yoga alliance. You can go to the official Yoga Alliance website and submit all your details from enrolment to completion. This will help you in registering yourself as certified yoga teacher and create an authenticity in the mind of ...
... user.
2. Gain experience under the expert yoga trainers.
You are very much excited about starting your career as a yoga teacher, but you need to understand that getting work experience or guidance under a mentor is of great help. You will get an opportunity to observe, learn and build a network.
You can assist in yoga classes either on a regular or weekly basis. It is completely up to you whether you want to go for a long-term or a short-term contract.
3. Networking is important.
You need to understand that to build a business, you need to have contacts or networks. So, you should create a contact list of all the other yoga teachers in your area. These can be your colleagues, teachers, or people you have met during your classroom training.
Try to attend workshops or pay a visit to their studio often. This will help you to build contacts for your studio or for your job search.

4. Never give up on yoga practice
You need to understand that practice makes a man perfect. So, even after completing your yoga teacher training program you should keep practicing. This will help you with enhancing your yogic postures and knowledge.

5. Start teaching yoga
If you are not able to find a suitable job, you can still teach people around your area. Try to connect with people and organise regular or weekly classes. This group can be either your friends or the people in your community. This will help you to be in practice and build network work at the same time.

6. Try to accept criticism.
When you start teaching students, you will realise your mistakes and short-comings. People will share their constructive criticism with you, so try to work on them, learn from them, and use different approaches.

7. Never stop learning.
If you have completed your foundation 200-hour yoga program then you can go for an advanced version like 300 hours or 500 hours. Keep reading good yogic books, attending workshops, or being a part of educational units. Remember to learn every day.
8. Create a yoga resume.e
After completing your yoga teacher training program, it is very important to build a professional yoga teacher resume. This resume needs to include all of your yoga teacher training, education, and experience.
9. Marketing
There are many new yoga teachers on the market. So, you need to be different and authentic to outshine them. So, try to build your yoga website or start a blog. It is pretty important to invest your time in building a social media profile.
You can start your own YouTube channel or personal page. Hire a professional photographer or cinematographer to create your professional videos or click photographs.
10. Establish your minimum rates.
It is unusual to set up your rates before starting your professional yoga teacher training program. But setting your rates will help you to understand the industry better, and once you start gaining experience, you can increase your prices to meet the revenue cost.

11. Don't give up on the habits that you have learnt in your yoga classes.
While completing your yoga TTC in India you must have learnt some self-care or yoga training practices. Try to adopt these in your normal day-to-day life. Try to incorporate these new habits, experiences, or knowledge into your day-to-day life.
Make your friends or family aware of yogic culture and how this is beneficial. This will help in creating awareness about yoga.

12. Learn yoga literature.
After completing your yoga course in India, you can study yoga literature. This includes the history of yoga that started in India 5000 years ago. Studying yoga literature will help you to answer students’ critical questions.

13. Understand your style.
The best thing about yoga is that it gives you a freedom to choose. Yoga can be performed in a variety of ways, like Hatha, Ashtanga, or Pranayama, but you need to pick the style that best suits you. Observe and absorb yogic knowledge and styles as well.

14. Try to keep a journal.
The journal will help you stay focused and manage your time more precisely. It is a great tool or a source of evaluation for your yoga journey. Documenting the experience and your emotions will help you prepare for a future scenario.

15. Have a work schedule.
It is highly advisable to manage your time after completing your yoga teacher training program. It is natural to juggle up on a lot of things after completing the course but you need to decide how to organise things.
Prepare your schedule, work under expert yoga instructors, practice asana and test your anatomy knowledge.

16. Make a list
While finding a yoga teacher training job, you can sub list all your favourite and best yoga studios and local gyms in your area. Try to connect with them, be spontaneous and available on short notice. This will help you to be open to as many opportunities as possible and gain exposure.

You have come a long way, but there is much more to achieve. So, try to invest more in learning and upgrading your yoga skills. There is a lot more which is yet to be learnt. Believe in yourself, practice daily and stay focused.
