Every year, hundreds of thousands of students register for the CAT, but at least one-third of them are unmotivated and believe that other candidates will outperform them, so why waste time giving that extra jolt of energy? Isn't there always next year? That magical year when everything will fall into place: You'll ace the CAT with a high score, gain admission to the B-school of your dreams, receive a cutting-edge MBA education, and waltz into a life of your own design. Simple on the surface, but difficult to convert, whether it's an interviewer or your imagination.

Competitive exams are difficult not only because of their syllabus, but also because of the large number of applicants. They are intimidating by design, and it is this intimidation that we must combat. It's not just about how many quants or DI/LR problems you can solve in a given amount of time. The best teachers for CAT preparation can teach you how to do that, but the art of developing self-belief and mind discipline is something you must do on your own. In fact, doing so at the start of your preparation journey is critical. ...
... A step that assists you in finding your footing and conditioning yourself at the start of a successful story.
Here are a few ideas to help you get started:

Aim for nothing but the very top
You can't help but believe you're the one, and the only thing that can change that belief is your thought process. The government does not collect taxes on your high morale, and it is not unjust for you to set a higher standard for yourself. We frequently undervalue ourselves to the point where we conjure a glass ceiling over our heads out of thin air. You are already one step closer if you have the courage to believe.

Apply second-order thinking
The ability to think through problems and their consequences to the nth order can help you gain mental energy. When deciding on a goal and prioritizing your preparation, think to the second order and ask yourself, "And then what?" This will help you focus when it really matters and keep you away from unnecessary distractions. Set more specific goals and think about what you would do if some of the first set of goals were met. Everyone is capable of first-order linear thinking and arriving at a predetermined result. Extraordinary performance results from seeing things that others cannot.

Prevent nostalgia
When things get tough and you begin to feel the strain of the CAT process, try not to console yourself by remembering times when your life was simpler and less stressful, without the looming cloud of whether you'll get into the best MBA program. Allow yourself to experience complexity, fear, and frustration, and work harder every day. Allow yourself to fall but learn how to get back up every time. It will be a year or so of deliberate pain and painful deliberation, but you will make it worthwhile.

Know your strengths and weaknesses
This is frequently the first step in beginning exam preparation with the help of teachers for MBA Exam. However, it would be beneficial if you also identified potential roadblocks for yourself, in addition to the exam's technicalities. Is it possible to have too many nights out? If your MBA dream does not come true, what are your options? Snacking to pass the time? General time management? Recognize inconsistencies in your ability and work around them by being honest. Know your strong points and how they relate to your personality.

Lead with a growth mindset
For the sake of argument, let us abandon the notion that we are innately superior at certain skills or concepts. A fixed mindset believes that these inherent gifts are invincible and provide a distinct advantage over others. Such a way of thinking hinders our ability to progress in our goals. A growth mindset believes that talent must be developed alongside motivation through hard work, lateral thinking, collaboration, and dedication. These concepts are still alive and well today.

Considering these ideas will not only help you pass the exam-based portion of the CAT. It will help you get to know yourself and connect with your true personality, which is a crucial step before going into an admissions interview. Take advantage of this time not only for the CAT but also for yourself.
Best wishes!
