Why choose Civil Engineering as a Career?

In a world where technology is the fad and the trend, Engineering seems like the perfect career for a student to achieve. Talking of engineering, there are a number of sub-divisions a student can choose from. A few to name being: Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, Computer Science etc. Civil Engineering is one of the major core branches of Engineering; it is the oldest Engineering field that emerged during early 20th Century, for the advancement of the Military Intelligence, in the wake of the ongoing World War, back then.

Whenever we hear the word Civil Engineering, our eyes shift from the focus upon our smartphones and our mind shifts towards everything that is associated with the civilian livelihood. Yes it is a true fact that Civil Engineers give rise to creations, that are related to civilian life; but the enormity of those creations are as big as: Huge real estates, Town planning, Shopping malls, Roads and Railways, Offices etc. The quality of lives humans are living are also determined by the civil structures they reside in; hence here the Civil Engineers ...

Choosing Civil as a career, one can see their career broadening with sectors like Power & Energy, Roads and Railways, Architecture & Design, Geotechnical, Town planning & Real Estate etc. Each of the mentioned sectors require huge civil structures to provide as the bulwark of the entire project; these require civil engineers for creating the entire foundation.
