Types of NBN
==========

1. FTTP (Fiber to the Premises) – fibre optics cabling is installed directly inside your premises or property to deliver fast internet services up to 1Gbps.

2. FTTN (Fiber to the Node) – both fibre optic cables and the existing copper telephone network are used to deliver NBN connection to your home. It is installed in an area and terminates at the node which is a large screen box positioned on your street.

3. Fixed Wireless - it is a connection that is delivered to your home via a wireless signal.

4. Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) – existing cable TV and internet cable networks are used to connect your home to the NBN network.

5. FTTC (Fiber to the Curb) - it runs fibre optic cables along every street and distribution point outside your home and connects it to the existing copper cable that runs into the property.

6. Satellite NBN – in remote areas that are not serviced by other NBN delivery methods, people can access using a satellite dish installed by a qualified NBN technician.
