How To Take Worst Picture With Your Compact Digital Camera

Most people would think that compact digital cameras are totally no-brainer for amateur photographers as it offers advanced presets that allow them to take clear and presentable pictures under certain conditions. Although modern camera technology has been improving today's point-and-shoot cameras as these cameras can produce high-resolution pictures - there are still many digital camera users that still produce low-quality pictures, i.e. blurry, dark and over-bright pictures.
If you've problems taking good pictures with your point-and-shoot camera - there are few common mistakes that you should avoid from being a tremendous lousy photographer:
Mistake #1: Letting your subjects wear what they want
During the photo-taking session, if you give too much freedom to your subject that she can dress whatever she wants - it would probably spoil the quality of the picture if the attire does not match the whole set up including the backdrop and theme setting. Most occurred problems are when subjects wear non-solid colored clothes in outdoor photo shootings. This actually cause your subjects ...
... looked less prominent in pictures as they are overshadowed by the distracting background.
Mistake #2: Using the wrong advanced presets at the wrong time
There are several shooting modes that are available in most compact digital camera - but not all camera users are aware of the available advanced presets. Thus, they would use the wrong shooting mode at the wrong time. For instance, if you're Canon PowerShot user - it's a waste that you don't use the "Sunset/Evening Shooting Mode" to take beautiful sunset pictures or outdoor pictures in the evening. By using the wrong presets, the colors, contrast and brightness are not well-balanced hence affect the quality of the images.
Mistake #3: Depending too much on the Image Stabilizer
Many amateurs don't really use tripod much nowadays - or they don't really aware of its purpose of using it, since they rely on the Image Stabilizer feature in their cameras. This particular feature is well-known for capturing images without affected by slight vibration especially when you're holding your camera.
This is also a useful feature when you're zooming in on your subject in a distance so that you're able to take clear picture without worrying about producing shaky images.
However, the Image Stabilizer has not proven to be solid-proof yet as compared with the carbon-made tripod. Normally, photographers would use tripod when they want to take pictures at a certain place or angle for a long period of time.
Although taking photos with compact digital camera is absolutely no-brainer for amateur photographers, you still need to learn the basics of photography and own a good point-and-shoot camera so that you'll be able to take high-quality pictures - and elegantly share it with others.
