Ibiza Clubbers Paradise

The very name of Ibiza conjures images of white sandy beaches where hordes of tourists gather to soak up the sun by day, as well as huge nightclubs where they dance and enjoy themselves through to the small hours. It is a popular, exciting, lively place; but beyond all this there is so much more that the island has to offer to anyone willing to explore.
It is not known as the White Island for nothing: its rich sandy beaches are beautiful, affording perfect spots for you to go and relax and get a tan. The warm sunshine tempered by the cool, refreshing sea breeze makes the island''s climate perfect for the holiday maker.
Through the decades Ibiza has grown to attract many famous DJs who went and established their own brand of dance music which came to be associated with the island. Large crowds of sometimes as many as three thousand clubbers would listen and dance to the music. Privilege is the island''s largest club, with space for ten thousand guests when it is full. Smaller clubs meanwhile are often cheaper, and though they do not attract the same big names they are popular and have a cult following for their ...
... charm.
However there is much more to do and enjoy on the island than clubbing by night and lounging on the beach by day. The island''s capital, Ibiza Town, is a great place to visit, situated on the south-eastern coast. It offers divine views of the Mediterranean Sea from its coastal location.
Ibiza Town is one of Europe''s best-preserved medieval towns, and has its own great Spanish cathedral which is definitely worth a visit. Its range of restaurants and trendy bars means it won''t be difficult to find somewhere to eat, drink and relax. Lots of visitors come to the surrounding region to go walking through the picturesque landscape too.
For an island best known for the nightlife in its major resorts, it is a surprisingly rural place: half the island is covered by dense forestry, particularly towards the north of Ibiza where it is almost unspoiled. The warm and peaceful rural landscape in this part of the island makes it a great place to retreat to.
There is of course a wide range of hotels to choose from across Ibiza, with everything from budget lodging perfect for young clubbers on the go, to luxury accommodation, both on the coast and further inland. Booking well in advance is important too, especially for the high tourist season, as otherwise finding resort accommodation may well be difficult.
Hiring a car is definitely worth it too. There is so much to see and do beyond the main resorts that if you can get around the rest of the island you''ll have a much richer holiday experience, and get to see far more what Ibiza has on show.
