Preparations for your all-important day, that day when you say goodbye to being a single person and join the beloved, can be exciting but nerve wracking at the same time. Many things to think about, to allow for and to get yourself organised, can take its toll, but with proper planning ahead of time the wedding day may well be remembered as a highlight of one’s life.

One of the important issues to consider, will always be the wedding car. Few people own a car special enough that they want to use it on that day. Therefore car hire services are the ones bridal couples contact to ensure they get the car of their dreams, a car that fits their style and even wedding theme, a car that fits well into their budget.

Different issues have to be considered, one of which, affordability, may be a deciding factor when the car (or cars) for the wedding day is chosen. Once clients compare different wedding car hire services, they will quickly establish what they can expect to pay when they book a car, and also what additional services and assurances they can rely on. It is important to remember that wedding car hire companies ...
... are rarely the owners of the cars they make available to the public.

They normally have a data base of owners that rents out their cars for weddings, and they will therefore advertise these cars on their website for clients to peruse and contact them so they can administer the whole process from start to finish. This leaves the client with very little else to do but be ready when they are fetched by a chauffeur and enjoy their day and, if so arranged, be fetched after the event again and dropped off where they need to be.

Some services will only act as a go-between to introduce the client to the owner, which places much greater responsibility on both parties. This may also be reflected in the fees the client is to pay. It is a personal choice, but most may agree that a service that takes care of the whole process may be preferrable.

When it comes to choosing the right car for that day, clients have choices, especially if they are dealing with a good service. Many like the idea of, say, a classic car, those cars from the 1940s to the end of the 1980s. There are many choices in this category, especially if you deal with a reputable company.
So how much can you expect to pay for the rental of a classic wedding car? That will often depend on which service you are dealing with, who the owner is and where in the country the owner is situated, and what driving distances should be considered, but there are general guidelines to help you.

For example, for a 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina you may have to pay anything from £ 275 and more, for a 1965 Alvis TE21 Convertible around £ 500, for a 1965 Armstrong-Siddeley Limousine around £ 400, and for a 1966 Aston Martin DB6 an amount of approximately £450 and more. A 1980 Austin Maxi 1750 may cost you £ 200 and a Citroen from the 1970s £ 295 with Daimler Limousines from the 1980s starting at over £ 300. It should be said that there is no one fixed price for wedding car hire, but with the above in mind, you may have a starting point.

It has to be said, too, that there are those wedding car hire services that may be more expensive than some others, but their choices, their service and their attention to detail are often so much better than and far superior to some of the cheaper ones, that it makes no sense to consider those that charge less. It is important to always remember that cost – especially cheap quotes – may not always be the correct choice.
Rather make sure your wedding car hire company offers you those important services and choices that will inspire you to deal with them, and not necessarily because their rates are cheaper.
