What are Fasteners?
A fastener is a mechanical device that connects two or more items. Fasteners can be either permanent or non-permanent, however they're most commonly employed to make non-permanent joins, the joined components can easily be separated without damaging the joint in the former one and the joint gets damaged or reduces the strength in case of later one. Welding is one way to make permanent joints. Stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel are the most common types of steel fasteners.

Bolts

Bolts are used to make a bolted joint. A bolted joint is created by a bolt and a nut together. Where a Nut is used to tighten the grip between the flange or such product where a bolt is used. Basically bolts are used for the assembly of two unthreaded components with the help of a nut. 

Nuts

Nuts are a type of fastener that has a hole in it. The hole in the Nuts is always threaded. The nut is paired with the bolt which is its pairing partner. The purpose of these designs is that the nuts are useful for the bolts that will be used to tighten them. 

Screws

Screws is a fastener that is similar to the bolts in many ways. The Screws are made of metals and characterised by helical ridge. Screws are also known as male thread. Screws are used to fasten the materials by digging in and welding into a material. Screws don't require nuts to tighten the screws.

Rings

Rings is a fastener used to hold together a few components or assemblies onto the shaft when installed. The Rings are for one-time use only. Once Rings is installed the exposed portion starts acting as a shoulder which retains the specific components.

Washers

Washers is a fastener that is disk type in shape and has a hole in the middle. The disk type fasteners with a hole in the middle are called Washers. The hole in the middle of the washers is the space for the threaded fastener. Washers are used to distribute the load of threaded fasteners such as bolts and nuts. They are available in different materials for different uses.

Threaded Rod

Threaded Rods is a fastener that is also known as 'Studs'. The Threaded Rods are a long rod that are threaded on both ends of the rod. The Threaded Rods's threading can be extended along the complete length of the Threaded Rods. Threaded rods are of different types and the threading may vary depending on its use and design.
