Things To Look For Before Booking Your Stay At A Hotel
A lot of people make the mistake of booking a hotel room based on price alone. That's not a good idea, because you can save a lot of money by doing some research ahead of time. For example, if you're going to be walking around in your hotel room all day, it might be better to book a mid-priced hotel and stay in the room most of the time.
You've spent hours researching your hotels for the best rates, great amenities and good location. Now it's time to book. Before you do, here are a few things worth checking before booking your stay:
Look at the hotel's star rating. A key factor in booking hotels in Dursley is that guests know what they're getting into. Star ratings give them a quick look at guests' previous experiences with the hotel and its types of rooms, as well as a general idea of how clean or comfortable they'll be.
The Comfort index. The comfort index is calculated by taking into account things like room size, amenities and location. It's an easy way to find out if you'll be happy with the ...
... accommodations before moving on to other issues.
Check out the hotel's amenities. Are there any free shuttles? What about complimentary coffee? Most hotels provide these perks, but if they're not listed on their website or in their listing, consider calling and asking for a copy of the terms and conditions.
Location. You want to stay near areas of interest. For example, if you're headed to the beach, you probably don't want to be in downtown Atlanta. If you're attending a conference at a convention centre and will be in the area for several days, that might be where you want to stay.
Rooms/suites. If you're travelling with friends or family and aren't going to be sharing a room, go for a suite instead of just an ordinary room. That way everyone can have their own space, watch TV or work on computers without bothering others.
Check with the pet policy. If you plan to bring your dog along, do the hotels in Dursley have a pet charge? And what about other fees for service animals? If your four-legged friend is more than 40 pounds and needs an airline certificate of health (a document issued by the government stating that your animal is healthy), do you need to pay an additional fee? Try checking with the local animal shelter or veterinarian to see if they offer this service.
