Abstract
Peracute, fatal enterocolitis in horses is a disease in which there is sudden diarrhea (watery) and shock is also present. Fever may also present but come back to normal soon and there may be an increased heart beat. In this article we are going to discuss Peracute, fatal enterocolitis in horses as well as the Ayurvedic aspect of disease as well as Ayurvedic management of disease. So be with me till the end.

Introduction
Digestive system of horses is very unique as they only eat plant material and their maximum food is digested in hindgut. As fiber-rich products cannot be digested in the small intestine, so in the gut of horses there are billions of bacteria which helps in digestion of fibers. Peracute, fatal enterocolitis in horses is considered a fatal disease as it results in death of horses. Due to some infection, there is inflammation of the intestine which further results in necrosis. Due to increase in pitta dosha and some amount of vata dosha in the body it may cause fever (on/off), diarrhea, tachycardia and also bleeding along with stool.
